And your comment is constructive? its like saying bush ruined america. If thats true, dont blame him, blame people who elected him.
Its ridiculous to blame WoW people for voting down EQ2 score. I personaly voted around 6 only AFTER i tried EQ2.

but blaming WoW fanbois for lowering EQ2 score is a bit ignorant, dont you think? Besides, how many votes does it take to do that? several hundred thousand?

yes, it takes that many. also, if you go to gamerankings.com and look at the user scores for eq2, most people gave it a 10 (many may be fanboys, even i wouldnt give eq2 a 10/10 but i know some would) second highest is 8 which is what i would have it, then the number of people voting for lower scores go down with the scores themselves (IE less people gave it a 5 than gave it a 6) and then the number of votes zooms up when it hits 1/10. im sorry but i think even people who dont like the game wouldnt give it a 1/10. its not THAT bad. to me that proves theres a lot of people who give the game a bad score because they dont/have't/won't play it.

At least someone understands what I'm saying. Also, do you really think that people are really anti EQ2 wouldn't register repeatedly just to mess up the score? You know they did. I wouldn't go slinging around the word "ignorant" until you think this through yourself.
What you 2 are suggesting is a conspiracy of hundreds of WoW fanbois who hate EQ2 so much they are willing to go at any length to screw up EQ2 rating. Im sorry, but im not buying it. It may be true for some people, but not on this scale. If there were a total of ten votes, then yes, I could accept what you are saying. If I were you, and I was a WoW fanboi, Id say that EQ2 was hyped by EQ2 fanbois who massively voted 10 to hype up EQ2 score.
The point is, you can blame WoW fanbois al lyou want, but that wont make EQ2 better. SOE did a great job with this game, but to me it was missing something, best described as soul - when i was playing it, I wasnt enjoying it very much.

I must say no, buying EQ2 would be a mistake. I got up to level 45 with my paladin when I just go to bored to play it. I had a nice solid guild that did raids along with a good group of friends. The truth is, the game lacks any type of variety and depth. The first few levels, 1-20 were fun, I actually enjoyed it. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Some people poke fun at the voice acting, but i like it, it makes the game feel more epic. The lower level quest are nice and soloable, you can get a good amount of high quality gear from solo or small team quest. However, once you hit past 20... the quest go to crap, there is little if no voice acting and the stories disintegrate rapidly, it created boring uninspired grinding.
At level 20 you will be hit in your bank account hard, and you will be hit probably ever 5-10 levels which makes it impossible for a person who doesn't have a bunch of high level crafter friends to attain good equipment.
The biggest issue I have at this time is complete lack of variety and depth. The depth of the game really is pretty paper thin. You just equip items and every now and then you get the option to "specialize" a skill. Such as, at level 30 you can choose as a paladin a fast and big heal that takes less mana, a big nuke, a big physical attack or a bigger LOH with shorter recharge. It really doesn't effect game play and if you have adept 3's which are pretty common to have past level 40, they are irrelevant. Adept 3's are skill scrolls made by other players, but require an expensive item to make them.
The lack of variety comes in to play when you are in their cookie cutter level design. Every level will be pretty much the same only with minor scenery changes. They all normally have a dungeon which is virtually identical to the dungeons in the previous zones technically speaking. Boss camping is also still here for every one to hate, I really hate camping and don't feel it should be part of any mmorpg.
Basically, the first 20 levels are nice, there is a steady flow of new and exciting content, but after 20 its the same material recycled over and over again.

True. Although a friendly and constructive discussion on the pro's and con's of a game may stimulate further development of the game. You never know when SOE dev employee comes browsing through EQ2 posts. Heck, maybe im one of them! (not)
Discussions are great as long as they are constructive, logical and not offensive. I do agree with previous poster, game looks and seems great, but when I actualy play it, its very dry. Im looking forward to trying Dark and Light, vanguard and maybe mourning.
Good luck, fellow EQ2 players. Im off to work and after that to play some WoW.
Peace

Sorry, If some one ask about the game, i'm going to tell them my expirence.
True Raven but this has got to be the thousandth thread about someones experience. If someone has a question about how the game is it just means they're to damn lazy to look back a page or two. The point I was making is some will like it, some won't. Telling someone your experinces at this point is quite useless imo.
I just wonder when this Eq2 section will start becoming about questions about the actual game. I.E. questions about quests and items. So far it's been months off the same old crap. I don't think I'm the only one who's getting a little tired of it eithier.
