Before moving this thread to DayZ you better delete the whole thread,......makes no sense here since I wanted to talk about TSW and not DayZ mainly. Didnt expect that people jump on Dayz only in the discussion.
....played DayZ for a while and tried The Secret World since it has Zombies aswell. I have honestly to say that the animation, the combat and the overall game has quiete a cheap feeling. Story is alright so far I saw, but at the end we know all from Swtor that story isnt all. I was bored quickly...these new mmos are really only a rehash.
EDIT: You're comparing a themepark mmorpg to a mod for an FPS game. The differences between the 2 is clear, yet, you compare them because they have zombies.
TSW also has a zombie dinossaur. I guess i it feels cheap too after playing Jurassic Park The Game
Both are for me RPG games with Zombie content, thats why I did mention it. But even without Zombies the mentioned points stay the same in my own opinion. But everyone has a different taste of gameplay...so enjoy what you like.
Well if we're comparing games because they have zombies, I'd like to say that I liked Dead Island but its character customizability was even worse than TSW. :P
....played Arma2:DayZ for a while and tried The Secret World since it has Zombies aswell. I have honestly to say that the animation, the combat and the overall game has quiete a cheap feeling, reminds aswell on f2p gameplay a bit. MMORPGs suck. Kill 10 wolves tab target, tank and spank, no death penalty garbage. DayZ is an exciting game that actually can get adhrenaline pumping. Zombies feel like zombies and not some boring and completely non-dangerous mmorpg mob dressed up like a zombie.

PS - the zombies in dayZ have the most idiotic and cheap animations ive seen in a mod this decade. In fact the whole mod feels amateur compared to many mods ive used.
Both games try to create an apocalyptic atmosphere.
TSW tries to do that with cutscenes, story-driven quests and graphics. DayZ takes a completely opposite approach: it takes away everything. But this is exactly what makes this game so great, when you struggle for ammo or some food always in fear of zombies and other players, you really get hooked.
In DayZ you run away from zombies most of the time, in TSW you just run through groups of them and kill them all with a few mouse-klicks. That is where TSW begins to feel "cheap", although it is by far the richer game.
Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need.

Maybe it is rather about gameplay taste, not sure if you did ask yourself this question. Like I said, everyone has a different taste and I dont want change your own one.

This is actually pretty true. However, TSW is NOT a survival horror. And, like quite a few aspects of the game, this is where things get a bit confused. The atmosphere is built very much like a survival horror, the NPCs are built to look like they are struggling to hang in there. However, you as a character as simply plopped into the mess as some omnipotent badass that's running errands for some all-encompassing organization. It's a little like if you took left4dead, or DayZ, or Dead Island, and then said 'okay, you are going to play as Wolverine'. It could be fun, but in a way it does trivialize the desperation aspect of the atmosphere a bit.

You have the right to your opinion of course. Many have already said what they like and don't like about the game, which is fine. However, basically, you didn't like TSW because it's a themepark, mainly after you played DayZ. It's like me saying i don't like a fantasy themepark (which i do btw) after playing sandboxes.
EDIT: Let the game fall or rise to your liking based on it's own features, not by comparing it to a game you shouldn't even in the first place.

Actually I played themepark mmos aswell and the last one was Swtor, but to see too much rehashed content is just one of the issues new mmorpgs suffer currently. No wonder that since many years most new blockbuster mmorpgs struggled. When it comes to TSW, it just gives me a cheap feeling..dont know how to explain this, it is probably just too simple. A little bit of themepark is alright, but too much of it kills a game.

And this is in reference to TSW which has the most customization and better combat than GW2 or other MMOs. And DayZ is a great Mod will never knock it but as far as MMOs go TSW is bringing it old school not what todays easy MMOs are all about.
Just confusing me the hate for any game especially when you can tell they haven't played it. Same thing going on in my GW2 guild no one even wants to look a TSW because they say it sucks but not one has logged onto it.

Arma2 is a game where you have to kill 10 wolves all day and do battlegrounds for epic loot.

They should just make space zombies in Eve. Yeah. Rewrite DUST to be PC FPS where you dock at stations/derelict ships to kill zombies.
it's simple Dayz is innovation therfore fresh, fun and exciting.
STW is repetition (same formula as every single other mmo out there) and therfore bland, boring and generic.
i'm also playind Dayz and i can safely say that it's been more fun then the last 10 "new" mmos i've tried in the last 3 years.
What's the endgame epic armor look like? Also, what's the endgame?
Google it...and please don't ask what google is....lol.
Dude, I'm know that you're in "TSW defense" mode but let's not get carried away here. The OP may be trolling but DayZ is a really great mod.
