Digital Deluxe Edition - Is it worth it?

I toyed with the idea of the digital deluxe, but ended up going with the regular edition. Got it from an authorized reseller that has a 20% coupon so got it for 48 bucks. I'm building a new system, finally upgrading my dinosaur, so every penny I could save is helping with that cause at the moment, and the 1 time use items seemed easy to pass up for me.

I believe that ArenaNet has said that the other packages will be available as digital upgrades in the future, similar to how Trion handled it with Rift. I might be wrong here though... either way I feel like I made the right choice for me. The more I can beef up the new build, the better :)

It is difficult to tell if the Elite Skill is worth it or not. Pretty much, you're just buying the Elite Skill for $10 and a handful of Gem Store goodies for another $10. If you're just one of those guys who likes to have everything at the start (30 Points in Hall of Monuments for Example) --- by all means buy it.

For the cost, I wager the Elite Skill will likely be sound and good on its own right. If you ask me, it'll be worth it if the duration is 60 seconds or more, but there just is no information avialable about the Mistwolf Elite Skill. Currently, eveyone's opinion about is just basic assumption.

I bought the Digital Delux Edition, have 30 Points in HoM, and spent $60 on Gems already in the store. Day 1 is going to be a fun day for me. I've never had so many Day 1 goodies in my life.

Did I mention I also bought the Collectors Edition too to keep boxed up in storage?

Is it worth that much to play the game? Absolutely

Is it worth it in comparison to the regular edition?  Meh. I bought digital deluxe for both me and my wife, so I guess I think it is.

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.

    What do you think?

    Thanks

Either get the regular or the collectors addition. If you want to spend the money might as well go all out and get the fun stuff that you can really hold in your hand. If you don't want that, like I said just get the regular.

A MMO is like life. It is something to cherish and enjoy upon in it journey. So why race to the end of it. In life at the end you die.

i think a better option would be to buy gw1 which costs  almost the difference in money

and in two weeks you could probably open 12 points in the hall of monuments quite easy

3 for owning the complete  package

    2 for completing  factions

get the  moa  and the pheonix and mox +2 hero armours

now depending on money you could also buy a sword with the z keys and  money earned doing missions  giving you 2 more points

so when gw2 starts  you could have

    armour for every character

    a staff ,a bow , a sword ,shield ,mask and a cat

but if you also know someone with guildwars  they could probably help push you to 15 maybe 20 points  quite easy

also make a character for every slot and every year you will get a b/day present and in maybe 2/3 years you will have  suddenly a new point or two for free
