I never understood how people do this. It's people like this that are the problem they rush through the content and then complain. It's an RPG enjoy the journey. I can't think of any MMORPG where I had done every raid/dungeon within the first month. I think some MMORPG players just need to get real lives instead of playing games like it's a job.
I really miss the swg days as flawed as a lot of the parts of that game was I still felt more apart of that universe as I have any game I have ever played it seems with every year games get simpler and simpler wow was fun at first but with each xpac it gets simpler and is not worth the time or money anymore
Like a few folk already mention, they are all worth playing...for a least five minutes...lol. The problem is they need my help to design a great game....but I don't come cheap either....
They can't make a game worth paying for with today's budgets. The only way a big budget game can survive is targeting mass appeal, and then worth paying for (by gamers) goes out the window.
2 choices, niche (of inferior production value) or keep waiting.

Guild Wars 2, nuff said. I would have paid for the 150$ collectors edition if i had recieved that bonus from work that was ultimately givin to some worthless suck up. Back on topic, i would also pay for a subscription for guild wars 2 because over the course of the beta weekends and stress test i felt like i was really involved in the story. Arena Net in my mind went Above and Beyond the Call!

I don't rush I enjoy the journey and do not skip any content unless I have no choice and as far as a life I have a full time job and 3 kids and a wife and do not play games everyday take swtor for example that was my last mmo there were players that hit max level in the early play before it even officially launched I don't care how much you play doing that in 4 days should not even be possible and my 8 year old plays wow and tanks the dungeons and does not wipe and I mean high level dungeons not low there is something wrong if these things are possible

I have heard a lot of good things about gw2 but have been burned so many times I am Leary to try it
GW2 is looking promising but it depends if you like it's fantasy element too.
Right now, the only other contenders are The Secret World for being a different type of sub-genre then the usual fantasy medieval element, and Eve Online for sandbox. Of course, there are pleanty more that are still decent to good.
Something tells me he isnt impressed with GW2. I know, I know everyone is different but I cant fathom why anyone is'nt even at least a little bit impressed/intrgued with GW2.
Playing: GW2 Waiting on: TESO Next Flop: Planetside 2 Best MMO of all time: Asheron's Call - The first company to recreate AC will be the next greatest MMO.
Archeage is going to be the most complete game ever launched as a MMO,we will see everything we expect and more.Even still this takes a developer in the richest gaming area in the world [Korea]
I Lol'ed IRL. No seriously I did.
Korea, home of the cheapest made, hastily put together, grind centric, content lacking.

The Secret World is what you seek. Well worth the price

No, really it's not ...
Actually, it is. TSW is one of the better, more mature themepark games released in a long time.
Other than that, I'd recommend games like EvE, Mortal Online, Perpetuum, etc. to the OP.

Strange, I have no problems to find an MMORPG worth paying for. And I don't play F2P-games or cartoonish games either. But then I've stopped playing the AAA themeparks and stick to the indies and sandboxes. There's a lot of choice out there once you look beyond the AAA publishers with their marketing departments.
I maintain this List of Sandbox MMORPGs. Please post or send PM for corrections and suggestions.

I would love any games you could suggest and I do not mind what a lot of people call grinding which is a term I have never really understood every game is a grind in some way
The question is very leading. The assumption is that there aren't any games that are worth paying for. WoW, has a lot of people paying for it. SWTOR, despite its decline has people paying for it, EVE, TSW, to name a few. To you, and others who aren't paying for a game, because of this thought, will naturally coagulate to a question like this, and give a somewhat false impression that this is a majority view for those reading it.
To get a slightly less biased idea, I would recommend a question such as 'Do you currently pay for an MMO?' While any question on a forum such as this isn't going to be representative of everry population, it will probably give you a better idea of MMORPG thoughts.

Please do not start to support AA by insulting other games...
I have nothing against you, but saying AA is great and that everything else sucks is not the way to go.
So far its forum has been quite a peaceful place. If the community / fans present themselves this way, it will soon become a fanboy / hater battlefield like some other games' forum
I agree every game has its fans and critics what you may think is the best thing since sliced bread others may think is Bantus fodder I want everyone to enjoy whatever they are playing or hope to eventually play

a) WoW2 is actually called titan. blizz won't make a 2nd part of World of Warcraft
b) archage... yea. don't get me started.... happy grinding
"believe me, mike.. i calculated the odds of this working against the odds that i was doing something incredibly stupid and i did it anyway!"

When a competent dev team with decent funding grows a set and releases a next generation sandbox game, not a hybrid.
atleast imho.
When you finish writing it.

Everything you need to know about Elder Scrolls Online
Playing: GW2
Waiting on: TESO
Next Flop: Planetside 2

He already said he was looking for a mature game, not a cartoony kiddie game for 10-year-olds.

He doesent. Hes baseing his opinion in that AA is being made in Korea hence is a Korean grinder. I hope for the most part that it is grindy.

I self identify as a monkey.
When gamers get a brain and stop buying these worthless games without first being offered a trial.
It should become a standert for mmos to offer free trials right of the start nowadays a game is already successful before it even launches.
