Explorable mode is unlocked after the story mode has been completed. The same area is reopened to the player with a story typically related to the aftermath of the events in story mode. The explorable dungeon story is told with fewer cutscenes and little exposition, and it is no longer directly related to Destiny's Edge. The player is presented with different play-through options, of which there are usually three to choose from. The party votes on the option they will take through the dungeon and the majority determines the dungeon version seen. The explorable mode dungeon is designed to be repeated, with player actions and decisions determining the occurrence of hidden or random events along with the related changes to the dungeon. This mode requires significantly more coordination between team members and so is more difficult than story mode. It takes a significant longer period of time than normal mode.[5]

This was some mediocre footage overall, but the dungeon itself looks fun... yay spiders!  I noticed as he was keeping his Guardian in front of the first boss, it didn't hurt him much.  I wonder if it's because of his class or because of what he mentioned about the abundance of poison debuffs in the dungeon that he was admittedly dispelling as he fought.  Hopefully every boss doesn't use the same mechanic, I'd like to see some that just use raw physical power.

I mean seriously this guy took so much unneccesarry damage 7 minutes in he's done 4-5 battles and he stood in red circles and just tried to walk away from the damage instead of using Dodge.  Played Guild Wars 2 just like any tank n spank game, really does the video injustice....

The dungeon looks fun but seriously the concept of DODGING is not that hard to figure out and impliment.

And yet the content was still brain dead easy.

Uh huh, and what dungeon in any MMO is challenging on normal mode?  It takes all kinds.  The purpose of normal modes is to ensure that people who aren't super hardcore can still get the same satisfaction out of completing a dungeon.

Also keep in mind, he was playing with ANet staff, who have most likely done the dungeons dozens of times by now.  And get off your high horse.

Seemed like a lot of trash. Was kinda hoping GW2 would be more like TSW with minimal trash and amazing boss fights.

Have to wonder the same, I think some people will just want to like it for the sake of liking it, I've been there myself years ago whereby I wanted to like an MMO so much I'd see the sunny side of just about anything.

I'd like to point out I am a GW2 fan though, it's really putting the fun back into my semi casual playstyle with my friends (stopped hardcore raiding a few years ago).

As much as I love the idea behind the way GW2 dungeons are designed (and I've been through Ascalonian Catacombs) this video was a complete waste of time, no insult meant to the person who tried to bring it to us (as in the person who shot the footage not the poster, I appreciate the effort from both) but it shows absolutely nothing of interest.

I would suggest next time rewatching your "exclusive" to see if there is indeed anything worth showing, so far we have a path and some plants, which anyone who has played in the Sylvari starter area has seen plenty of.

Of course Arenanet also takes some blame here, they've said very little for two weeks and then they go and let someone do an exclusive on an entrance to a dungeon that shows almost nothing but a leafy path with some plants/spiders?

On the more positive side I'm fairly certain there will be a lot more interesting content inside Twilight Arbor, a 12 minute video barely scratches the surface, but as I looked at the list of dungeons that is the one I was least looking forward to as nature based dungeons are rarely interesting, it takes a lot more work than say a catacomb.

GW2 is sooo much more fun playing than watching... at least pve. And this quite boring dungeon in particular.

You didn't slap anything, you came to a faulty conclusion based on ignorance and arrogance.
