On top of that, there IS a gear hunt/grind but you aren't ostracized from groups for having lesser gear and you don't have to make a calendar of raid times to set up for, you can just go find a set you like via crafting, dungeons, Legendaries, Orr temples and then work on getting them on your time and in the most fun way possible.  And that's just PVE, then you have WvW and sPVP with PVP gear to go for.  PLENTY to do at cap.

For those like me who like alts, I still have 2 other choices in in the main storyline as well as racial storylines.  Crafting the other professions, dye collecting, map completion of which I'm no where near finished.  SO much to do, I dare say it makes every MMO I've ever played before this look pathetic in the endgame department.  All except FFXI.  That game also had TONS of content at most levels and endgame.  But that's another topic for another forum, ;D

So anyway, just thought I would bring this up partly so that those detractors who keep shouting "It has no endgame!" "What's the point if there is no gear progression?!" "It's just like every other MMO!" can be stifled and shown the door.

Just trying to share my excitement over this nebulous GW2 endgame we have heard in so many various forms over the past few years and we were never quite able to nail down.  Probably because they do it different than everyone else, just like the rest of the game.

End game, joke of the century isn't it??

Is it possible, one way or another, to get the best STATISTICAL gear doing the dynamic events? Be it through simply 'farming' and buying them, points, possibly looting resources for some sort of turn in or craft, etc, etc.

Because quite frankly, I LIKE raiding. Probably because I haven't done all my raiding on WoW/SWTOR and haven't therefore been 'soured' on it. and I like raiding because its one of the few things in MMO's that actually makes me think 'massively multiplayer' and the closest GW2 seems to have to that is their dynamic events.

No, however yes you can get full Exotic armor from Dynamic events for 264,000. But it would require you to do all of the Corrupted God Metas, and getting Balthazaar down is no easy task, though he is one of the lowest health Legendaries, his damage potential way out weighs his lesser hp. Moreover the gear would be either Soldier, Magi, or Shaman. Soldier being the only viable stat is my opinion. However this would only cover armor.  Accessories and Weapons would need to be crafted.

Of course GW2 has endgame and gear progression. My main is L40 now so it's been 39 levels of endgame for me by now. And I found quite some gear upgrades.

ANet didn't lie. Endgame in GW2 starts at level 1. Period.

MMORPG genre is dead. Long live MMOCS (Massively Multiplayer Online Cash Shop).

Thanks for telling us this. I was getting worried at level 16 since events are getting boring. Athough I had a pretty epic fight yesterday on an event I started. (it much more fun when you start the event)

I believe you can via Karma Vendors at various temples in Orr as well as a few other areas in the game.  It's not just about the dungeon gear, which is there to aim for as well.  I haven't found all of the vendors yet, just hit 80, but I'm about to compile a list of armor sets I want to go for on this character.  I think I'll only have a small handful as I don't like every set I've seen.  Plus armor type helps narrow that down as well.  But the Karma you can farm to your hearts content at all those "raiding" DEs happening all over Orr.

Oh, trust me, you haven't seen anything yet.  The game truly ramps up in scope and epic events.  I feel like I'm in another game at times at the high levels it's so hectic, challenging and flat out chaotic in a good way.  I want to go back to Queensdale just to relax a little, lol.  The risen mobs have got to be the nastiest mobs I've ever faced.
