We've had a good year on the PC platform for games.
A few good exclusives, mostly good multi-platform titles and great indie games.
So I ask if you had to vote today for goty which game would you vote for?
Ill list a few games for a poll making sure to leave a spot for other so you guys could add in your favorite games of the year.

This year I have enjoyed 2 PC games: Cavemen2cosmos and GW2.
I put over 300 hours in those games and almost nothing in others (Heroes VI was a huge downer).
The third game I played a lot is the old R6: Vegas 2, mostly because we can play it at my friends LAN which have 2 not state of the art laptops and that it is really fun with 4 players and a case of beer but the game is pretty old by now.

The Walking Dead series was just so emotionally good.
Not afraid to say I cried while playing that one.
Its like saying 'I cried after playing To the Moon' which is another awesome game but was released Nov/2011.
But the one I would pick for my GOTY is ME3.

Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.
Out of a few of your list I can't make up my mind which one is better to me: ME3, Dishonord, Borderlands 2. I must say that I bought Borderlands 2 months ago, never gotten BL1, but just a few weeks back decided to really play it. Where when I bought it, installed it, played for about 20minutes and felt it wasn't for me. And never tried it again till a few weeks back and will admit that I was soo wrong about my first thoughts and try of the game as I started to really love the game (gamers-wise).
But the 3 games I still want to get: Assasins Creed 3, Hitman absolution, Farcry 3 might exceed the fun level to play beyond those games mentioned above by me.
Next year will be hard to vote for 1 game, Bioshock Infinity, Watch Dogs, GTAV to name a few hopefully within the first 3months of next year
It's great game and I say if someone did not play it yet - then it should, but The Witcher 2 was released in 2011 and OP lists 2012 games onlu I think.
GW2, D3, TL2 and FTL are the PC exclusives.
But honestly in this day and age exclusives make such a small % of the market.
While the other games are ports most of them are superior on PC. Better control options, higher graphical fidelity, user created content.
So i dont think its bad to add in multi-platform titles.
Seriously if i made a Xbox goty list or a PS3 goty list with just exclusives for 2012 I would struggle to think up more than four good games for both combined...

I made that list before I got to try out Hitman Absolution or Assassin's Creed 3.
Imo both are just as good as anything on my list.
I'm waiting on Farcry 3 as its the last game I need to play through before i can decide on my goty of the year.

dishonored i guess.
it's been a shitty year for gaming.
How are people playing this?
I thought it was released on Dec 4th?
Was it released earlier for console?

It's going to have to be Borderlands 2 for me. I have 94 hours put into it so far, with the only DLC that I picked up being the Mechromancer. I have a 36 Mechromancer, 37 Siren, and a 26 Commando. I still have true vault hunter mode to finnish, as well as hitting 50 with on of them and killing Terramorphous the Invincible. Then after that there is Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty, Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, then whatever they release afterwards.
EDIT: There's also Dark Souls, which may have came out last year for consoles, but just this year for PC, so that sort of counts. I have about 80 hours in that so far and is an absolutely amazing RPG with all sorts of crazy hidden back story and lore. Not to mention some of the best combat ever. The only reason I can't give this an edge over BL2, is because of the shoddy port. I mean, sure, the DSFix fixes pretty much everything (hell 1.9 even removes the 30FPS cap), but none-the-less, the problems were still there.
Dude... You need to get the Two DLC for Borderlands 2.
The last one adds like 10+ hours to the campaign with new weapons and bosses.
Its like a full blown expansion, Its amazing!!!!

The Walking Dead, Portal 2 or MineCraft. Probably would vote The Walking Dead, since Portal 2 was cool, but didn't have the impact of Portal 1, and MineCraft still has some features that need to be implemented.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
