WTF to people expect? You expect to play on a PvP server and not get ganked? Its called PvP, get used to it or move to a PvE server.
I really don't get it, why play on a PvP server, knowing that its a PvP server, knowing that people are going to kill you, knowing that higher level people are going to kill you, and then whine about it....here is a departing present, have some cheese and move to a PvE server, k thx bye.

Congratulations on sounding like every underdeveloped 12-year-old spastic on the Blizzard forums.
No-one's complaining about the fact that people gank. The complaint is that Blizzard said ganking would be discouraged, and that people who made the most effort to avoid ganking would be the ones getting the rewards, thus encouraging more evenly matched confrontations and a more enjoyable gaming experience for everyone.
I'm gonna let you into a little known secret here... Pay attention now... There's a reason why they called it the HONOR system.
and no im not a lower lvl getting ganked, my main server was the newest rp server, i had a 60 rogue, (the first that could speak english and dint work in shifts)and a 41 priest, at the time the priest was even in top 10 lvl priest on the horde.
so it wasnt becasue higher lvl people would gank me, it was becasue i didnt think i should be forced to gank people all day to reap in the honor system rewards. and that was about all that left to do:/
it sux if you ask me, but its simple, and thats what the game is. simple.

At least the servers I play on, this is exactly the case. Our player base quickly learned that ganking lower levels or ganking small groups in raids doesn't accrue much, if any, contribution points. The majority of the upper lvl PvP occurs in the Plague Lands or in Winter Spring.
Not saying that it doesn't occur, but not nearly on the scale that prevents me from finishing quests for my lower lvl characters.
I also don't see anything wrong with suggesting that people play on a PvE server. My horde characters are on Draenor and I've had some great PvP battles there.

It is left up to the players to decide to bypass a grey player. But how often is that going to happen? Not often! Here's why:
because higher level players will come to the rescue when they cry for help. Lakeshire anyone?
because they are helping higher level players. I saw you cast that heal!
because they are easy prey. I killed that guy with one hit!
because they are in a bad mood. Got ganked by 3-60s? I'll go gank some 47s!
because they are griefers and will kill them whether they know they are on a escort quest, engaged in a mob or waiting to enter an instance. Actually then, its even better!
because they belong in a KOS opposing guild. I spit on you and your brethren!

By neglecting to implement dishonor, Blizzard have created an environment where the ganking situation has become stuck in a negative feedback loop.
Players are on the lookout for revenge for their last ganking, and those who normally wouldn't gank are now doing so.
Anyone who says the atmosphere on PvP servers hasn't changed dramatically for the worse since the implementation of the "honor" system is either a masochist, a liar, or a griefer.

I did perfectly well on a PvP server for several months before the ill-thought-out "honor" system was implemented, completely ruining the PvP dynamic.
But to answer your question, you can think whatever you like if it adds an inch to your tiny e-peen.

It's so easy to write off criticism as "whining" when you run out of responses, and maybe people who criticize Blizzard's lack of punishment for gankers use "e-peen" comments because people who defend such a system do so because the only fun they get out of the game is from ganking, to make up for their lack of skill and tiny e-peens.
Hey firemagic it seems just months ago we were debating this point of how I felt the current PvP system would cripple PvP and how you believed it would....what did you say....oh yeah.."spark"....the much needed fire WoW needed for PvP. Well it did spark something eh? Just not what you thought it would. Hmmmm I wonder how Volkner's doing right now.....I would love to get his views as well.
Anyway I still play WoW quite often, but as far as PvP ranking goes. I'll leave that to the CP whores. Until they can refine the PvP system I'll just wait for battlegrounds to do any "real" PvPing. As of now I only play my lvl 60 paladin when I get a group to try another run for my epic mount in scholomance, hell I'm not ready for ANOTHER tedious grind up the PvP ranking ladder.
Other than that I play with my lvl 43 mage and I must say ganking has definately made a change...now not only do I get gank by all the peeps higher than me but even groups of babies give it a shot or two....LOL a hoot I tell you, but I take it with a grain of salt. I try not to get caught up in the "I'll get my level 60 and camp you" bs. Although some of my guildmates could learn a thing or two from me in that department. Oh well maybe that's why I continue to pass them up in levels as I try shooting for my 2nd level 60.
But I have no complaints other than the "flawed" PvP system in place now (well maybe a few but that's for another thread on another day). I have no intentions of quiting now. Hell if anything it just adds to the challenge of leveling/questing. I mean I have enough experience in the game not to be so foolish to be caught without a backup plan/spot to level. And with so many friends/family playing and a guild to run I'm having the time of my life until something better comes along. And when it does I'll be ready.

Sorry Fire but I HAD to for old time sakes and all, it seems you and Volkner were the only two that were truely blinded by anything Blizzard put out without analyzing the system and community for what it really was. But it's all good, hell you win some and you lose some. But it takes a real man to fess up and admit when he's not always right and for that I hold the highest respect for you my friend. Lets not forget if honor system is suppose to be in at launch. So was battleground. So releasing the honor system without battlegrounds still makes it incomplete. The funny thing is that people calling people carebears are already 60 and taking advantage of earning honor points on lvl 47 engaged in combat with a mob. What is the honor in that? My vote is that release both not honor system turning pvp servers into ganking fests. Wasnt an issue until they released it without battlegrounds. If both released same time. Then it wouldnt be that bad.
