As the DnL pioneers have proven, there is no end to the stupidity and blind faith of some people in the mmo market. I truly feel sorry for these people, life cant be easy for them.

What Mourning did is nothing compared to what Farlan is doing now with DnL.  Mourning stole $20 from 700 people while Farlan took $60 from 8,000 people.  The sad thing is Mourning was not only more stable than DnL's Sog but it had a lot more content.  People are not near as outraged about DnL as they were about Mourning.  Maybe it was Egomancer's abrasive personality or maybe people are just getting dumber.

I can see why they are bringing Mourning back when they see Farlan ripping off so many people.  Farlan has most likely just begun to steal.  They will likely take more money from people in additional pre-orders and might even try to release this thing.  Regardless its only a matter of time until DnL goes out of business once they run out of victims.  The question is how much more money will they take from people.

I doubt people will learn their lesson from DnL.  They sure didn't from Mourning.  Many of these fanboys just cannot seem to seperate reality from hype and desire.  No matter how bad DnL is they will continue to convince themselves there is a miracle build on the way.  I don't see this changing.  People are not bright and many of them just cannot wait to be scammed.

Even though I was suckered to get a Pioneer account, I have enough sense to realize that this game is a crap once I stepped into it.

Your right about that one...

It's been a year sinds i last logged into the then beta. What a disaster. They had a few nice ideas but the time between updates was month's ( and don't get me started with the french community on the forums grrrr. Got nothing against the french ( hell, half my country is french speaking, but it pisses me off to see most of the English beta topic, where one guy replies in french, and it becomes a swarm of french posts ).

Okeeeeee.... In other words, there character creation is about same as it was a year ago. Lots of buttons, but only a few usable.

I'm thankful that i never bother putting much time in that beta.

Of course it is Dave, anyone that followed that Realms of Krel (and its other names) knows Dave's penchant to post on those boards with various names, the name changes, but the writing style and lack of customer focus never do....... He delets, and he bans, and he talks trash... That is why his game will fail.. oh, and the lack of content, and playability....

My last thread, while poorly worded, was simply my expression of my frustrations with the Mourning dev team.

After all the crap that they pulled, I was still attempting to give them support. Yes, I was calling one of them out.  Cryptkeeper seemed to have been e-stalking me after I mentioned not receiving a refund post the previous pre-order/release debacle.

What's sad is that I didn't just pop in there and started flaming away. I went in there, aware of how I had been screwed previously, and still I was posting constructive comments about the future of the game or how to better treat people interested in the game ( one of the responses by the new CM was that the investor(s) had nothing to do with devolpment, HaHaHaHa, lololololol) .

Hehe, I was trying to be nice even though these guys had screwed me concerning the quality of their game, screwed me on my ability to recover funds invested, and mocked me when I mentioned trying to recover those funds. Woot! Banned! What a bunch of crazy guys.

I went out praising Ego, Tiamat, and Dantuffy; yet, condemning Cryptkeeper/dave. I did that knowing perfectly well that I would most likely "earn my diploma."

So, what is the sickest part of all of this?

• After all of the abuse I've received from the Mourning devs, I'm still interested.

Or,

• The devs have someone who actually supports them; but says something offensive, and bans him. To make the point; I'll rephrase; one of the 10 or so people sick enough to support them, gets banned.

But those comments of his are completely missing the point. Who *cares* what the investor has to do with development? Considering the trouble the game got into because the investor was an ass (Ok, that's only part of the reason, but anyway), I think it's only fair that their so-called "fans" want to know who the investor is.
But again, their strategy isn't to redeem themselves by explaining how things are better now, it is simply to pretend that there isn't a problem.

Which was not what I was expecting,  though it was an improvement.

I know Ego and Dave are complete assholes, the game sucks, and even the followers of this game are bashing it... all 10 of them (lol).

But this game is getting harassed beyond belief. With 1k posts, I would think 200 of the recent ones would be random spam such as "Mourning sucks" but the thread still continues to have valid points and decent discussion... all against Moruning... lol.

The forums are getting shut down, the website is all buggy and the game is (from what I hear) terrible.. then there is the pre-order debacle...

I feel so bad for this company.. seriously. lol. Maybe they should take a different approach at the gaming industry? Independant developers will never make it big acting like assholes
