Actually the CDs have been burned and sent by the same company that handled the preoders. After we saw what happened with all those things we decided to work with ccbill.com for the preorder part and to stall the shipping of the CDs until we find a company that can make then to look more like the way we felt that they should look.

If the firewall blocks the ports that are used to communicate with the server then you need to change the setting to the firewall and let the information pass though those ports. Some companies block all the ports except the http one so their employees can not do other stuff while they are supposed to work (this is just an example of why firewalls are used).

Heh. EQII had a lot of problems related to routers when it came out and for some time after. Last I knew, they still didn't iron out all the kinks and more than a couple of people had to buy new routers because of it. Just because you didn't have any problems doesn't mean there aren't any, Fadeus.

That being said, Mourning is pretty much in the toilet around here. I would advise that the people involved with the game need to work pretty hard to get their reputation up to anything that anyone will actually listen to.

1 month & counting to what the 40% discount was, only fans have come with excusses. Officially THERE IS NO WORD on discount.

WHAT are building tools? Making your own quest? Making your own game (whatever that means)?

Who was MawrMawr? There was a "funny" official repliy (If info checks up he is who he says he is....).

For WoW & CoH pre-order I paid about 6$ (converted) each for postage & cd for beta acces, your fans got to pay 30$.
That was a release not pre-order, not being able to cancel order after april 1:st (date for pre-order beta, thats realese not beta). Also blaming the billing company means illegal actions by the billing company, they cant take money without consent from the company/publisher. (There is no "ooops" regarding contracts).

50 Euro, (almost) twice the price compared to most pc games out there, sounds more like excuse for fake discount. Build tools? I wouild like to see the license agreement, you know like Valve does with their SDK & fans (since the wierd announcement means something like fan-made maps or something).

Ego ty for comming here to enlighten us, your game has been a grounbreaking pile of doo doo.  That being said.  How are people gonna implement there own in game items quests ect....  when you guys can barely implement any of your own stuff.  I'm sure all the people who choose the elven race will love the fact there are no bows or any ranged weapons for that matter.  That is just one of many things, also where did the bloodline system go that was gonna make history or what ever, lemme guess your working on it and it will be added later.  I see no mention of it in the new description on the front page.

goodluck though on your scaaa......(cough) game.

    The new engine in
March 19 2004 had bloodlines, also ignore the 1gb estimate on final client & rest of the post since it contains issues still present (dynamic weather more monsters etc) ::::13::

Well, you just lost yourself probably every prospective customer that read this topic with that line of yours. That shows you have absolutely no faith in your product. No wonder why this "game" is failing so miserably.

Sounds about right.... divide that by about 10 for the people playing...

Your excuses are so funny.......I have never played a game that has a problem with firewalls like the way you described. Your not going to ship any CDs anyway.

    LOL!!

Who wants to settle for a 'decent' game when there are so many other choices available on the market.

Actually, I think there are people would support a decent game if the developers were honest with their customers and were sincere in their effort. I don't see that happening with Mourning.

Does that mean Mourning can no longer be classified as a MMorpg?

What respectable moderator would have anything to do with that game.  I give him respect for sticking around so long for the good people in that community and there "were" a few.  Also for finally speaking the truths most of us have been saying all along.  Welcome the the light side fo the force Natty!

funny thing is, they have now deleted that post by Nattydread, but kept that thread open. Now ppl reading it won't know what the hell the responses to Nattydreads post are even referring to. I'm glad a few of you here copied and pasted it. Good Job.

  • HarelinHarelin Member UncommonPosts: 409

lol, now natty? That makes at least two "awakened" moderators to my count... there's probably more that kept it underwraps.

I'd love to see someone create a graph plotting the decline of Mourning's respectability each month. You'd make it head steadily down and drop suddenly at points like MMORPG.com's revocation of support :)
