The War Z is a game that is known to many in the MMO-space, more for its notoriety than for its gameplay. We aim to change that in our latest review. We've put The War Z through its paces and have a lot to say about the game. See what we think before leaving your ideas in the comments.

Unfortunately, The War Z offers up nothing more than a painfully executed parody of what a survival game should be. It attempts to ride the waves of success that popular ArmA II mod, DayZ has had but instead seems to take its shortcomings and amplify them into an experience that is dull at its best and frustrating at its worst.

    WOW, this must the the LOWEST rating ever for a game reviewed on MMORPG, and I agree with it 100%. Stay away from this cash grab of a game. That is all. Thank you and have a good day.

    I think he scored it a little high on value. Even at free you are getting ripped off.

    Astonishingly there are some people who love this game.

    I followed this game on the their official forums since just before release (but not as a poster) and despite people being banned for no reason and complaining of being ripped off/moderator abuse/rife hacking/unfulfilled  developer promises/bugs etc some will still turn and say they will buy the game again just to keep playing.

    It really has been one of the strangest games ever in terms of the furore that surrounds it I've ever seen.

    The game is awesome, i haven't been playing for a while was waiting for some patches, but now it's quite awesome, granted it's not as good as arma 2, but still for me 7.5-8/10

    i think you may be getting mixed up with DayZ my friend. 

    Either that of a WarZ dev is currenlty holding members of your family hostage?

    If someone is talking in general chat in a language you dont understand, chances are they're not talking to you. So chill out and stop bitching about it!

    i totally agree on a low review..But it's too low compared to other many low reviews on equally bad games...Doen'st seem legit imo...Perhaps WarZ wasnt advertised through MMORPG and this causde some kind of prejudice? Just my question here..might be wrong...But i personally won't be suprised if i soon see a full scale advertising storm from DayZ on this website...

    After the STEAM incident i totally agree that this game developer should be ''punished'' .I would even agree for a NOT TO REVIEW clause by any gaming website...But giving such a low point review shows an intention to ''kill'' more than a objective review...

    And i repeat....Most of the bad-games on this website have an average of 6-7.And i talk about really bad games..You can't go from 6-7 to 1....Unless MMORPG will finally start and giving TRUE reviews...In that case then i agree on the 1,7...Now lets see some ''eights and nines" go at 6 and 7....

    Finally, a review I actually agree with.  Terrible game made by terrible people.  I dont understand how they have not been sued yet for ripping off the artwork or the EULA or all the other pieces of hard work produced by other people that they stole.

    Genuine congratulations to MMORPG for not trying to find positives that aren't there.  And as said above, I get worried about score inflation on this site, finally we get a score I can agree with.

    Wow, that was harsh....I agree with most of it, but one... melee weapons work like shit in 3rd person but once you switch to first they work just fine...learned that the hard way when i hit a zed 100 times with a hammer..lol

    this game looks really bad, but i would like to add that is easy to trash indie games in reviews, the questions is.. who is the jornalist with the stones to review a bad mainstream game with this eye ?
