I see ppl curse the whole time in chat, and they still play without any problems, so my guess is that there has been a 'few more' words uttered or maybe whole foul language spam. When ppl go emo because things don't go their way it's usually not limited to just 1-2 words.

Yea you can play WOT free but either you need to just accept that a huge amount of the XP you earn is going to just sit there with no way to use it or you need to constantly abandon one tank after another and always be playing non elite status ones.
Lol the US side is so tame XD, on the european servers you'll be lucky not to run into 1-2 angry guys every other game... it's particularly amusing if it's 2 angry guys on the same team arguing for opposing strategies ).
That said: OP quit moaning, you paid 100$, so? I paid 0$ does that make you better than me somehow? If you think it does come over here and say that to my t-34-1 .

What's wrong with that XP just sitting there. Its a choice.. people can spend a bit of cash on gold to be able to use that XP to maybe get the next tank quicker or maybe a weapon a bit quicker on a tank.. but its not something you have to spend money on..
Saying that Waraming is out to make money so of course they will offer ways for people to get the higher tanks faster it makes sense for a f2p game, but spending money on this XP will not make you win anything, will just allow you to access the higher tier tanks a bit faster.
Also playing elite tanks allows you to put all that into crew xp if you want so you level up the crew of the tank faster.

Why I quit was that even if you paid for a premium sub you still had to pay again to convert that XP. I had no issue spending $15 a month on a premium sub and I didn't even care about gold ammo because anyone who bought it for PUG matches is just throwing money away but when I started to spend 2-3 times my sub cost because I enjoyed playing a couple tanks but wanted to keep working towards a Panther 2 I said enough was enough.
I don't begrudge them wanting to make money but if $15 - $20 a month plus the occasional $30 - $50 gold tank purchase isn't enough for them from me than they can find someone else to fund them.

When you play other free to play games do you buy everything from the cash shop then quit because the game costs too much as well ?
In a year and a half I never once payed to convert that xp. Not sure why you seem to think just because it's there you have to do it.

When a game offers a subscription I expect certain things from them like not gating progression behind a pay wall. That's why I pay for the subscription rather than pay piece meal. I have not spent a dime of real money outside my subscription on EQ2 since it went to F2P and in fact I bank Station Cash each month as a result of it. That's how I expect F2P games with subs to work and I refuse to play one that doesn't.
In short I have no desire to play WOT without a sub and I have equally little desire to sub to WOT as long as they make you pay on top of that to unlock the progress you make in game. If you can stand that game playing free without a sub more power to you.

But that is just additional bonus XP that you don't have to use, its not like they deduct a certain amount of XP from your match score or anything its additional on top.. either way its not something you have to use.. in fact i think i only used some to get past the shitty first gun on my Caernarvon or maybe a bit more no another tank.. other than that i have not seen any need to mine yet and the XP i get from being subbed is more than enough..
They are not making you pay on top of anything it an additional option that you can choose to use if you want to.. nothing more than that..
If anything, OP's story would make more people want to play this game. Assuming they don't want to play with people that act as immaturely as he did. Good job on WoT's part by noticing his additional childish antics and giving him extra days for his time out. I notice the random cursing, but it seems hardly anyone cares. OP must have been over the top and deserving of the suspension.
As far as the game being pay to win, it simply is not. I agree with all the others who have tried to confirm that fact. At some point, maybe the person who continues to argue that it is can just get over it. Premium rounds can be purchased with game currency. Even then, it is not always a good move to use it all the time. The premium tanks purchased with gold are not on par with other tanks of their tier as far as combat capability is concerned. They are average at best, mostly below average, on the field.
Wargaming is a business and needs to make money to stay afloat. They are not selling any advantages to win matches. That is simple to see and understand. I think a better argument would be that they sell quicker advancement. Getting into higher tiers faster does not make you better in the matches. Makes it worse it some cases. New players do not belong in high tier matches. They cause problems and hinder the chance at a victory.
If paying to advance faster is equal to pay to win, then you must be calling just about every game in existence pay to win. Even if there is no cash shop, there is a gold farmer to help you. If someone pays a farmer for gold in WoW and then visits the auction house to get decked out in purple gear, they have just paid to win? If yes, then WoW and any game where you can obtain game currency for real money is pay to win. In that case, I would then agree that WoT is pay to win because every game I can think of would be pay to win also.
If I was to direct the two words you used back at you here, at best, it would get snipped and at worst I'd probably be looking at a no-chat ban myself.
In almost 100% of MMOs, if you use language like that in the general chat, you'd be subject to a similar ban.
If you used those kind of words towards a co-worker at 80%+ of the jobs out there, you'd end up in some kind of trouble.
If you used those kind of words in a classroom, there's a very good chance you'd find kicked out of the classroom for a day.
Go into a restaurant and start talking like that and even if you had already spent 100.00, many restaurants are going to ask you to leave. The louder you talk the greater the chance of this becomes (as with all these examples).
Call someone in my neighborhood by either of those words and you would be guaranteed a punch in the face and no, I'm not interested in hearing how tough you are or what an awesome street fighter you really are.
Call a cop by either of those names and I'd be highly curious what kind of reaction you would get.
Even Democrats and Republicans don't use that kind of language when talking about one another.
Use those words in front of your mother or father, see what happens.
Hear your kids use that kind of language and watch what you do.
Then again, the Westboro Baptists do use similar language on their signs..
We need to start thinking of MMO's as we do music or literature or the movies. There is not one MMO or one game that will be universally satisfactory to everyone's taste. MMO's don't come in one genre just as books or music doesn't come in one genre. Change and innovation is a good thing in the MMO industry just as it is in literature and music, but every MMO doesn't need to push the envelope or be cutting edge to be "good" or fun. It just needs to be good. The same is true for music. The same is true for books or for movies. Music evolves. MMO's evolve. Storytelling evolves. And in doing so, it doesn't make obsolete or not enjoyable everything that's been done before.
Yet you didn't deny it. It is still a P2W game, just as it was before. The only difference is that now you are allowed to farm your way up to it. Yet you can still just toss a bit of money their way and have it right away.
yes but its not giving you a real advantage anyway.. paying for the ammo or a tank with real money will not win the game for you.. maybe with the ammo you might get a slight edge 1v1 against someone who does not know the weak spots of your tank but it will not win the game for your team..
If you want to call the p2w then i will leave it as that... as i am sure we could go on all day and night about it haha
It isn't pay to win. I am having trouble believing you have ever played the game at all if you think it is pay to win. People have told you repeatedly it isn't pay to win. I've played pay to win games, several of them, this just imo isn't one of them at all. I honestly never fired a gold round when they cost gold(rl $$). Now that they cost silvers I carry a few rounds on most tanks of mine. For situational uses such as IS-3 facing me and I am in Pz5/M10 or something like that.
I had one premium tank a Type 59, later they gave me a free premium T8 when they converted T34 to premium. Now I have a few others of various tiers but they are for money making. Personally I find the Type 59 hard to even deal with, the engine is so damn weak you can't play it like a medium at all unless you get a good long rolling start. I now also hate my T34, everything about it is sooooo slowwwwwww, even with a crew just about to their 4th skill and using better gasoline, it just won't move, haha.
Anyways you really can't pay to win. You can however LEARN to play to win. Game is really mostly about smart decisions, aiming and teamwork. You can't just buy a few things, be uber and smash everyone like in a truly pay to win game.

I didn't say I played free, I said I didn't pay for the xp conversion. I paid my sub and advanced through tanks as fast as that went. I ended up with 5 or 6 tier 10 tanks a 2 tier 8 arty. At no point was I forced to convert that xp.
Your argument is I have no will power and want everything right now so games shouldn't be allowed to offer more than I'm willing to pay.

Wargaming.net epic win !!! i will subscribe 10 euros for their awesome response xD
sorry to OP but you convinced me to play more WoT xD
I did some time in the tanks of WoT... I could have thought of several other reasons for quitting besides a ban for a couple of days which you were so obviously asking for. Be careful of what you wish for, you just might get it.
My turn off from WoT was the fact that once you hit those lvl4 tanks, well you start ending up in matches where there are tanks of lvl7 and lvl8... Basically battles where you can knock off 2-3% off of their total health with one shot and they can one-shot you... It just took all of the fun out of the game for me... Entering the arena to get one-shot again isn't such a nice experience.
Tank lvls 1-3 were fun though. I don't know how the game population has developed since I played, but unless there are more mid-range people playing, the matches get really old, really fast...
If you violate the EULA with personal insults, you should be banned... And I would say a couple of days is not long enough to send any type of a message. You got off too easy on this offense.

Yeah at rank 4 you need to start thinking and using tactics and can be put into matches where you get higher ranks facing you.
Guess what, don't stand toe to toe with those tanks. Find the tanks your rank and take them out, then help your higher tiers by providing flanking support. Or just scout for your higher tiers. Or even just lure higher ranks out into the open looking for that 1 shot allowing your higher tanks to take flanking shots.
I have yet to pay ANY money for this game and am close to 2 years playing it. I have a W/L ratio about 55% (mostly due to all the losses incurred while getting descent mods) and once each tank has all the mods I probably win more like 70% of fights.
One of the things I love to do is take my Chafee out (rank 5 light) and get into a really forward position quickly with some cover and spot all the rank 10 tanks advancing so that al my rank 10's get free shots at them while the enemy run around in confusion.

Yeah, I know that you should do something else than full on frontal assault, but still, when you need 20 shots compared to 1 shot hit, it ain't even a fight... It is much like a pedestrian getting run over by a car... You can cause some dents into the other party, but you are going to lose, there is just no way around it...
Also most of the time the higher tier tanks are better at pretty much everything. So the maneuverability of a light tank is highly compromised when the heavier class tanks also move more closer to your speeds. And it still takes just that one shot to take you down... I could live with the usual 3-4 shots to get taken down versus maybe 6-8 to put out the bigger tank... My point being, you should have at least a shot at it.
This is what MWO does pretty well... If you are in one of the heaviest mechs in the game and come up against one of the lightest, you will most likely lose that at short range. Medium to long range is a whole different story and even at short it is not pre-determined that the faster light mech will win.
Maybe I should give WoT another shot feeling nostalgic... It's not like I have to invest my bank account into it.

I disagree about "should at least have a shot at it"....or at least it is very situational when you can. If you are in a rank 3 light and can trap a rank 7 TD in the right postilion then you can kill them and they cannot touch you. Try taking a rank 7 heavy on in ANY situation and you are toast pretty much.
The best thing to do is work out what your tank can and cannot do and how best to use it. Don't go full frontal attack mode in a light, don't scout in an SPG, don't sit so far back as a heavy or TD that all your scouts are dead and no enemy is in range...
Best advice though is just enjoy it and remember that each fight is a game and the bonus is ech fight gets you a little bit closer to another tank.
