You really don't know what you are doing do you? People gave you the right information to debug your system and you tell them that can't be the problem. It has to do with you using the oler graphics card and the amount of load you are putting on your CPU. Remember the GW2 and many games DO NOT use multicores and many other applications are the same way, they only use one CPU core. Having 6 cores means nothing if your apps are not capable of multitreading.

Your 4th monitor is connected to the 8800GTX.
Unlug the monitor from it and plug it on the GTX690.
I didn't try to do it with the thing plugged in the 8800 GTX, I tried it back before I even had an old card inside, and had all 4 on the 690. Hence why I ended up putting the old card in.
Dude, your being ridiculous. Do you have ADHD? I cant see any valid reason why a person would NEED 4 monitors or more. None whatsoever. And most systems are not designed for this. Just because thy can do it doesnt mean that they were optimized / designed for that purpose.
You cannot possibly play both Wow and GW2 to your fullest ability at the same time. Pick one, close the other. You wanna watch a movie? turn off the game as you cant play a game and watch a movie at the same time and put 100% concentration into both. Its not humanly possible, humans are incapable of truly multitasking (just like computers, they cannot multitask either).

Well I could see a valid reason for four monitors for myself. Running a game on triple monitor and having the 4th for something else. Like a boss strat or something.
The other monitors unceck, and it prompts me that I can't have more than one monitor, as I'm only able to use one GPU for monitors, and since GPU B only has one port, it says only one display may be used.

Cause that maximize 3d performance is for 3D vision if I'm not mistaken.
3D performance is referring to normal graphics peformance. You're thinking of steroscopic 3D, which is a different section in the Nvidia control panel. All of these monitor settings are within the "3D Settings" section of the control panel, not the "Stereoscopic 3D" section.
And as to "activate all displays", that's a dual-GPU setting that allows you to activate 4 displays, but it's an inferior setting that tries to accelerate performance where it can, but it's not full performance. It's even grayed out and doesn't let you select it if all the monitors connected to the 690 can be activated through "maximize 3D performance", as you can see in the screen shot where my 4th monitor was connected to the 8800.

Sure - but it only activate 3D performance in stuff like games and 3D programs - desktop and browsers don't need 3D performance.
Your 4th monitor connected to the 8800GTX isn't getting full performance either - the 8800GTX isn't working as 3D accelerator.
Only the 3 monitors connected to the GTX690 will be fully 3D accelerated.
But I recommend you to try asking in the nvidia forums or the forums of your graphic card manufactor.
About GW2 performance - native sampling instead of supersampling and regular textures instead of best textures are setting worth checking to improve performance.

What does it say in the "Setup multi monitors" tab?

I run a dual monitor system on a GTX 560TI card and I have no issues running GW2 at max.
if you are running 2 different cards you have to remember the simple law of Physics and engineering ... it is only as strong as the weakest lnk. In this case you are running a 7800 card with a 690 (for those of you who like car analogies the Honda Civic vs. a Ferrari) both will get the job done ... but where one really shines .. you have the second holding it back. Testing the system will not help in this case because it will look at each as separate not as a whole.
As for running 4 monitors ... (and i say this as someone who wears glasses) Do you have 4 eyes? I do not see why you need that much monitor space when you can only really look at one at a time? I have 2 but one is for things like E mail, website information or music ... the other is the game ...
I do know people with a 4 monitor set up for flight sims ... but then last I checked ... GW2 is not a flight sim and you do not have to see all around to get the same feel.
If you want better performance .. Yank the 7800 and run it with less ... and your power bill will thank you
According to this thread you should be able to run the 4 monitors as long one of them is just for browsing and stuff.
You can have 4 independent monitors at the same time.
You can't however choose any 3 to make surround. You can only surround the two DVI's and DP ports. The HDMI port is always going to be designated for non-surround/accessory based display.
Keep in mind however that some games require you to run them in Windowed/Fake-Full Screen mode to be able to see what's going on in the other monitors. Otherwise they all turn black (4th monitor never goes black for me).
I hope my answer makes sense.
So your 3 main monitors need to go to the DVI's ports and the DP port while the one that will just do 2D stuff needs to go to the HDMI.
I think you can safely get rid of the extra card (or ask someone to do it for you :P ).

Setup multi monitors is the section with the checklist. And the monitor connected to the 8800 GTX is as accelerated as the other monitors, as when I move my game window to that monitor, the framerate remains the same as it is on the other monitors. Meanwhile if I use "activate all monitors" and have all 4 displays connected to the 690, I have slightly lower fps on all displays. And the difference is even greater if I play games fullscreen.

I do not speak falsehoods - you hear something you don't like it is automatically wrong. Just an FYI - from NVidia itself - PhysX is a proprietaryrealtimephysics enginemiddlewareSDK. It was developed by Ageia with the purchase of ETH Zurich spin-off NovodeX in 2004. Ageia was acquired by Nvidia in February 2008.
What ELSE do you have running in the background on your PC? That makes a huge difference.
ALSO - NVIDIA STATES THAT ONLY ANOTHER GTX 690 CAN BE USED IN SLI WITH A GTX 690. There is your issue NOB!
I have a Radeon HD 7970 3 GB card in mine with 16 GB of RAM and a QUAD core i5 2500K. Running max for my 23" monitor with all the bells and whistles on 1920 x 1080 - I am at over 100 fps in GW2 - it slows down in big events in WvWvW and Dragon events but it is still above 40 fps.

Your dogmatic ignorance proceeds you once more. I'm not trying to run the 690 in SLI with the 8800, it's merely powering additional monitors. And once again, I've already tested running GW2 with nothing in the background, to no effect.
And as to Physx, I don't even know what you're talking about. I never said anything about what Physx was. You must learn to observe things more closely my child. Knowledge is a much greater tool than ignorance.
