I've never had anything like that happen ingame but when I see people in BGs arguing and stuff I just think it's funny as hell, the ones giving all the abuse are the ones feeling the worst otherwise they wouldn't do it. Even if they are saying I'm the one that sucks (which doesn't happen often .. who cares.. it's just like being back at school when people took the piss for messing up at a sport in an important game.. it's just banter, BANTER. for a person in mid 40 you act very very immature, creating this post is one example to start with. mmo these days are filled with people like that, precisely why games have report and ignore function, it is same in real life, you don't quit your life because it is filled with filthy people do you? remember that games are played by humans and there are always these filthy humans wherever you go. if you think this is bad just try playing a match in LoL or DoTA2. your post here is not so much different than what those people did to you. wonder if those people were also mid 40, it seems like you have same speech pattern as them.

I would also like to add that I did roll a new toon on a different server as someone stated and had a much more pleasant experience.
A guy in his mid 40's wouldn't let two random anonymous kids over the internet ruin his game experience by simply jumping around him and spamming messages. There's something called "maturity" that allows such a person to be over situations like that without giving them any importance, especially when performed by obvious troll kids.
Seriously, that there are random dumbasses trolling in mmo's is a shame, but it's nothing new and the troll kids will eventually grow up - there's no harm they can do to you. The worrying part is when someone needs to come here running to report it because they felt so terribly offended that it ruined their game experience. I mean no disrespect, but someone needs to grow a spine worthy of a guy in his mid 40's.

these products are aimed for that kind of people,they cant ever find a team or friends in games,so companies are making tools for them so they can act like they really are ,no matter what they do ,game will reward them,just use xserver tools,groop finders and whatever there is,automated teaming with them and list goes on.

in some games,if some benny hill show acts like that,he gets rejected by community,no raids for him,no teams for him etc,you wont buy his stuff,kill everybody in sight from his guild when you see one,no buffs for him/them etc.'

My personal XP with wow a fiew years back when the gear score came and non-HC players like me where not welcome in most PUG's......that kinda killed wow for me.

You're absolutely right. I remember one time in UO when one of my guildmates got stopped by two players on the road demanding all his gold or they would kill him... he declined and got killed. They took all his gold and put everything else in a bag behind a nearby house. They told his ghost that all his stuff, minus his gold, would be there when he rez'd.

I would personaly just shake it off and move on because next morning i wouldn't even remember it. Given the problems one has to face in daily life it all feels so trivial.

If these are your worst 30 minutes of MMO playing... oh my. I'm not saying their behaviour is alright, but the /ignore function is there for a reason. It's not even WoW's fault, it's just that gaming became mainstream, and games will attract all kinds of players if that particular game is (becoming) popular. Just take a look some of the popular games; WoW, Call of Duty, League of Legends, Battlefield etc. Some 'communities' are even worse than others.
Lets take game A, which has a playerbase of 10.000 players. Just say 10% of this playerbase is rude, which would give you a 10% chance to meet one. This 10% are just 1000 players. Now lets take game B, which has a playerbase of 10.000.000 players. Here, also 10% of the players are rude. Same percentage, which would also gives you a 10% chance to meet one. This 10% however, are 1 million players. These 1 million players will give the game a certain name but in the end it's the same percentage as the smaller game.
What I'm trying to say; popular games just attract all kinds of players because gaming became mainstream quite some time ago. And just as in real life, you have a lot of different personalities. Be glad most games you play offer the /ignore. In real life the /ignore doesn't work most of the time...

Again, i DO NOT show sympathy toward a trash talker. it is attitude like yours that encourage trash talkers and trolls, thus dropping the community in a new low. look at OP's newer posts, thnx to us being harsh on him he realized he went on about the wrong thing. if we said "you are 100% right, WoW sux, fuck WoW" he would never have gone above his earlier rage and hatred. he is victim of a disgraceful behavior and then he was doing the same thing. there was no reason for us to encourage him to continue down that path.
