Serioudly right now im royally pissed, i saw the leaked footage on the gameplay and im really RELALLY REALLY pissed off at zenimax. I dont care about the graphics, but by god i want to smash my keyboard right now. Its soooo generic, im just so freaking pissed off right now. I blew so many hours into skyrim, and now they are going to release this crap.
Im fuming.

I have to agree. Did you not enjoy playing Skyrim? Does this MMO somehow diminsh that experience? I've blown many hours watching Star Wars and SWTOR in no way changed my enjoyment of those movies.
it looked just like skyrim but with other ppl running around to me. and im okay with it. someone also said they saw tab targetting.... i didnt...

i watched the infamous leaked video today and as an mmo it looks fine to me. However, like i said a few times before, if TESO isnt better than Skyrim then i expect a game purchase only, no subscription required. Im still having a blast in Skyrim for only 60 bucks (the DLCs and the amazing modding community together makes more content than the devs will ever do even with a sub unless its as successful as WoW to make more content than that). Not willing to pay a sub for TESO unless its better and offers more than SKyrim itself.
Game will be released this year, what you see in beta is most of what you'll see at launch. Can't use this excuse all the time.
To me, it's a solid studio actually developing this game, within a huge world filled with avalible lore

Random guy who was part of making a great game several years ago and now wants people to throw millions of dollars at an idea he has for a game. What's gonna happen 1 week after launch? "We have narrowed down what is causing the bugs and will be rolling out a hotfix later this week...*cough*, we just need 50k for this...anyone?"
PS. Random guy example is just that, an example. Hurray for the independent companies and all that, but the whole KS circus is just downright disturbing...
My advice is to wait for the NDA to be dropped and open beta. Before anyone makes a decision on supporting the game this is definitely one that you should wait for beta impressions/reviews and or personal experience.
Call me crazy but I haven't liked the idea of an Elder Scrolls MMO from day one. It's worked perfectly as a singleplayer RPG for years now, and with how saturated the MMO market is, on top of the bitter and jaded MMO veterans, I can't imagine why they would think this is a good idea. With the current technology available I don't imagine them making a masterpiece MMO because they are going to have to sacrifice alot of what makes the Elder Scroll series so amazing.
Putting cauldrons on NPCs heads and robbing them blind is my favorite past time.
Really, another one of these. Got any specifics to share bud because most us could care less what you want to do with your keyboard or that you are pissed, but I'm totally thinking that Zenimax will call you and totally redesign the game to fit your expectations, of which you provide no insight here, because you are REALLY REALLY pissed off.

Stop whining about what you don't like and go do something you do.
On top of that it is a beta and thus sceptable of change,
just wait and see when it releases, to see if it is to your liking or not, if not refer to line 1 eh
I'm usually against taking an IP and adding MP/MMO for no reason (but a cash in lol)

Im sorry but what you saw there people is pretty much what you are going to get at release. The game is not going to suddenly get a "FUN" injection patch sometime around release. That was some of the most boring gameplay I have ever seen from a AAA MMO...

This is'nt even the PAX footage..... this is the same video of the noob playing the curent closed beta going on right now that most of us have already seen.
First off the guys a noob, second its the opening tutorial area, third all he used was his basic auto attack and did not make anyform of attempt at dodging enemy attacks, fourth this is the first round of closed beta so hold off judging the game for at least a few months.
I don't think a leaked video is any indication of a final product. There may be a few key systems that one doesn't like in it's current form, but that's likely to be changed (especially if it's a placeholder or has placeholder elements). Still, it's something to weigh in when someone lets their hype for the game get a little too high. It's still a MMO, and it still has a lot of the same problems the genre inherently has.
Wait they are you trying to say you expected anything else other than your standard generic MMO?
As soon as I get home tonight, I'm firing up Skyrim and doing this. Brilliant.
Well in all fairness, it was a level 1 character who couldn't figure out how to leave a boat, spent a lot of time in game options, then spammed his basic attack then died twice and didn't complete a single quest - all in the span of 20 minutes. Judging eso on this video would be like getting a cam quality movie and judging it only on its opening credits.
Funny enough, a similar thing happened when euro gamer reviewed dark fall online at its launch. It turned out the reviewer spent an hour in game, mostly in option menus, couldn't figure out how to kill mobs, then logged off and wrote a scathing review - which players who were actually playing the game quickly jumped on and tore apart.
So what are you really pissed at? that the player in question jumped around, didn't really read anything and pretty much didn't do anything during his 20 minutes or are you pissed that he didnt' play "like they way you did" in Skyrim?
Because, in Skyrim you probably also could have jumped around, clicked through quests, attacked monsters that would have wasted you, etc.
The real question is "can you play ESO in a simliar way to an Elder Scrolls game?"
The jury is still out on that.
So would you have run around and clicked on things and not paid any attention to what mobs were about or would you have grabbed your stuff and head out into the unknown? And if the latter, then what are you pissed about, the video showed none of that?
