The next big game will be world of darkness remember that.
Those types of graphics sadly are prevalent in most MMO's, SW;TOR for instance also had 'those kind of graphics' but yeah, i have a good feeling about WoD, and im hoping CCP really manage to pull it off, as their more recent addition Dust 514 was a bit of a damp squib, about all i see in Wildstar is another Themepark grindathon, so i'll wait and see how it looks once its been out a few months, assuming its out this year that is.
The ironic thing is that the same people that criticized SWTOR for being too cartoony are the same people praising it for WildStar. Seems like everyone has an ulterior motive here. It's like watching Sunday morning politics..which based on the target audience of this game most probably don't know what I'm taking about.

i am waiting till about 6 months after release before even installing the game. I am overly tired of the same thing, shelling out money only to get either a bad product or a game that offers no longevity. So, i'll wait and see on this one along with all the other games that come out.
I am hoping it is a bit more open and sandboxy if it's another wow clone i'll just keep playing LoL which is the only game i play lately. Everything i play lately seems more like a chore than a source of entertainment in terms of mmo's
I'm just hoping an praying it isn't as dismal as Defiance was, I got to caught to far into the hype and forgot how deceitful Trion is. People may have differing views with me about it but Defiance has no real endgame and the "patchs" aren't worth the memory they consume. So my one and only hope is that the Carbine team won't betray my gamer heart.
From what I can gather Wildstar it looks to be a MMO to remember. Personal Housing!? 40 man Raids!? Fort vs Fort Combat!? Hell yes! My main concern is Carbine may bite off more then it can chew. Though they have some of the people that were responsible for WoW (vanilla) along with a very eager team, so I am hoping my skepticism is misplaced. A lot of people just say this is space WoW from the old days, honestly I don't find the issue with it. WoW at this point is no longer the WoW I loved. It is the bastardized child of the old WoW molded and shaped to usher to the casual player base. I would love to have my old WoW back....
So I will be taking a leap of faith when Wildstar release comes and I will be playing the game hard. I already know I'm going to have a vacation planned for it with my employer.
Originally posted by ShakyMo I have Tiny - no Zoned - a bit, but less than a lot of recent mmos Wow clone - yes Level cap - yes Gear progression - yes
If you hate wowclones (and this game apparently) so much then why are you here trollin the crap out of it?
Read your question again. Just think about it a little bit.
I am well aware, just trying to get him to own up to it. He is getting to be worse than Davis which is just sad.
I did battle with ignorance today, and ignorance won.
To exercise power costs effort and demands courage. That is why so many fail to assert rights to which they are perfectly entitled - because a right is a kind of power but they are too lazy or too cowardly to exercise it. The virtues which cloak these faults are called patience and forbearance.
The recent videos on Paths have convinced me to look at this game. Right now I believe the mmo genre is in a rut. We are surrounded by wow clones and over hyped releases. The only thing Im looking forward to thats happening in the near future is Rifts F2P conversion since I have a lot of friends that still play, other then that its Archeage, The Black Desert, and now Wildstar. Today was the first time I looked at wildstar and I must say other then the graphics (which fit the style the more I look at it), looks fantastic.
The Settler path specifically looks like a lot of fun. Went ahead and signed up for beta. I suggest to anyone who hasnt taken a look at this time to do exactly that.
Playing: FFXIV, DnL, and World of Warships Waiting on: Ashes of Creation

Hmm, i wouldn't quite go that far lol.
Don't get me wrong i'm looking forward to the game but it's not a hybrid mmo.

There Is Always Hope!
Nice catch there. I agree with you.
