In The List lately, we've been taking a look at "the mosts" for 2013. In our latest edition, we take a look at five games we really want to learn more about during next week's E3 convention. See what's caught our eye and then let us know what you hope to hear more about.
This list doesn’t include everything we’ll see, and I want to make sure you know that just because a title doesn’t hit this List, it doesn’t mean we’re not eager to see that game. Final Fantasy XIV, Defiance’s DLC, Planetside 2, Ultima Forever, Wargaming’s secret project, DayZ’s progress, Snail’s Black Gold, EVE, TERA and others are all on the schedule and have us wondering what they’ll be showing. But for the games that we’re most eager to catch a glimpse of, the following five titles have us on the edge of our proverbial seats.

E3:
1) Microsoft "HA, its was a joke, here is the real features for Xbox One AND GAMES"
2) Dark Souls2
the rest can burn.
now: GW2 (11 80s).
Dark Souls 2.
future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord.
"Bro, do your even fractal?"
Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
With so many conferences and parties to go to, it will be hard to see much of anything. But I will likely take a look at Destiny (though I'm not a fan of shooters), ESO (may not depending on time) and FFXIV. Might leave the rest to be viewed online at a later date as those will probably be packed.
If the past is any indication of what to expect this time, I probably won't even get to see the majority of those in any significant way due to there being so many people I rarely get to see nowadays to talk to.
Hold onto your hat.
Console MMO's are most likely where the industry is headed...
1) Looking forward to the Xbox 360 announcement
2) Hopefully they will release a cheaper Xbox 360 with larger HDD
3) Loads of Wii U games and support, especially if Xbox ONE and PS4 are DRM heavy, but this might be why publishers are not supporting Wii U much, as it does not support DRM
4) A Wii U MMO that makes the most of the console
E3 2014 (or maybe 2015) may feature an update to Xbox ONE to allow full access to used games, allow games to be played without an internet connection, after weak game sales. It may launch great but then when people realise they can not easily sell the games, then will start to buy less

Edit: EQN probably not on the list as we are guessing they won't reveal anything.
No EQ3?
The only MMO to be excited about as SOE said it'll be the largest sandbox ever.
Though it is SOE so it'll be released too early and post launch content will suck.
Microsoft already retracted all the used game stuff. The console itself will still be required to connect to the internet like once a day though.

My Review Manifesto

Your crystal ball is broken.
As far as actual facts, non exist to prove your statement.
They have not retracted all the used game stuff, it is still happening, but are refining it
Microsoft has decided that you can't sell your games any more unless the buyer has been on your friends list for 30 days. You'll also only be able to trade games at certain 'participating' retailers, which we presume rules out selling your games to places like CEX and Ebay.
On the bright side there is no fee for buying a used game, although third parties do have this option should they choose to use it (and we imagine at least some will).
On the Sony side of things, we have no idea how things will work, but it seems like if MS are giving Third Parties the option to charge a fee then Sony may do also.
plus
"In our role as a game publisher, Microsoft Studios will enable you to give your games to friends or trade in your Xbox One games at participating retailers. Third party publishers may opt in or out of supporting game resale and may set up business terms or transfer fees with retailers," Microsoft confirmed.
"Microsoft does not receive any compensation as part of this. In addition, third party publishers can enable you to give games to friends. Loaning or renting games won’t be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners."
Interestingly anybody using your console can access anything you’ve purchased for it, whether you or they are logged in, and you can also access any of your content on other Xbox One consoles, but as mentioned this will require you to connect to the internet more frequently.
"Xbox One is designed so game publishers can enable you to give your disc-based games to your friends. There are no fees charged as part of these transfers. There are two requirements: you can only give them to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and each game can only be given once."

My theme song.
Decent list. I know some of these games have absolutely no chance at being shown at E3, but here is mine:
5. The Elder Scrolls Online - really, need more info on this for a game so close to release.
4. Hex - I agree with the placement on the list, and the Kickstarter got me yearning for more info on this.
3. Destiny - Another game we know very little about and could be a potential game changer seeing how it is likely going to be popular being Bungie and being a MMO available on consoles.
2. Black Desert Online - I know it has zero chances of being shown on E3, but I can't wait to hear more about this game, particularly who in the West is going to be publishing it.
1. Everquest Next - So little is known about this title and it's still one of the most talked about MMOs here at MMORPG. I know it was confirmed to not be at E3, but this list is more of a wishlist, right?
I am excited for all of the games on the list, but isn't FFXIV supposed to be at E3?
That should have definitely made the list, that game looks badass, can't wait for it to come out this summer! As bad as they burned people with the terrible initial release, I think a lot of people on these boards are excited for it. Make sure we get some coverage of it if its there.
Industry might be headed there, me and my money are not.
