Console MMO's are most likely where the industry is headed...

So, in other words, the end of MMO's, you say? Oh well, they'll learn.

Destiny? Not even in my top ten most anticipated games of this year.

The main reason why they did not put EverQuest Next is SOE said they would wait until their SOE show in August for any reveal and possible launch time too. But im going to wait and see on an expected release date.

It's about bleedin time they have been so slow , so slow infact I think they have started going backwards a few years ago , cancelling " True fantasy live" , "Huxley" , "The Agency". So even though PSO was amazing back in 2000 console devs thought we wont bother with MMO's. At least Capcom got the idea and copied PSO with Monster Hunter. Then there was PSU and an ancient Final Fantasy game a few months before it ( 360 one ). o and wow 7 years later. Dc Online and then Defiance. Yawn's at all console devs , you lost lots of money and i laugh at you all.

    No PSO2 from sega at E3 , unless it's a surprise title.

At least Destiny is there , maybe devs are waking up a little , yeah right.

    Cheers,

    BadOrb.

PSO 4 years , EQOA 4 months , PSU 7 years , SWTOR launch ongoing , PSO2 SEA launch ongoing , Destiny 360 launch ongoing.

Looking forward to Destiny, only reason I'm getting a PS4

Any mmo worth its salt should be like a good prostitute when it comes to its game world- One hell of a faker, and a damn good shaker!

    My number one want?

For next-gen consoles not to be a brick of social media garbage and bring something actually new to the table!!!!!!! >_<

They are hoping on developers to make this next generation of consoles deserving of there being a new generation to begin with, which is shameful. No real development has been made, graphically or technologically. Its all just cause the "timing" is right. How farking rendered could clouds get?

Glad I have my PC! :)

MMORPG Gamers/Developers need a reality check!

Aaaaand most likely a giant flop at release.  But here is hoping they change their...bad habits.

If you want a new idea, go read an old book.

In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.

Why not just get it for the 360 or PS3 , mind you if you haven't got either of those then yeah PS4 might be a good idea. Personally I'm going to get it for my 360 and then decide by the second game if I want that one on the PS4 or Xbox One.

    Cheers,

    BadOrb.

    4) A Wii U MMO that makes the most of the console

E3 2014 (or maybe 2015) may feature an update to Xbox ONE to allow full access to used games, allow games to be played without an internet connection, after weak game sales. It may launch great but then when people realise they can not easily sell the games, then will start to buy less

Microsoft issued a pretty powerful statement today that only licensed used dealers you will be able to sell games back to. You also will only be able to trade games with your friends once and they must be your friend for 60 days (can't say i've ever heard of friend verification before) . All sony has to do is say the opposite of this and we'll have a winner.  Heck with the extra money they can buy gamestop's used games division if its that dangerous to their model.

I am fairly certain that will happen at some point, it would be a surprise if it didn't, after all PC is a superior platform especially for MMO games, after all it's all about the money.

I agree with most of the list..

    1. Destiny - can't wait to see what this plays like. I hope it is more than a shooter and has enough RPG elements.

    2. ESO - want to see some non-edited gameplay video of this

I have no interest in another collectible card game. Archeage is interesting, but not the holy grail sandbox that some seem to think it will be.

While I think WildStar is cool, I feel like we have already seen a lot of what it is going to offer.

I am obviously interested to see what games Microsoft reveals for the new XBOX. Especially any RPGs. I saw a rumor that Dragon Age 3 may be revealed. That IP really needs to be redeemed after DA2.

I am pretty excited about the Fable 1 HD remake. I would like to see some actual footage of that.

I always enjoy the little surprises, like the games you've never heard of or ones that are not hyped to death.

Still waiting on Blade & Soul and Dungeon Striker to come to US. Any solid news about that would be cool.

    We'll see.

wtf is up with this console over pc crap with games lately.

i get it that consoles are going to become even more prolific and varied in their uses as central media devices as well as their more typical entertainment/gaming use. but how does this exclude pcs?

Though it is SOE so it'll be released too early and post launch content will suck.

So I guess not much EQN on E3.

The only thing I really want to see is the PS4.  I have already written off the DRM-Box One as corporate customer abuse, so I am hoping Sony goes a little easier on cramming draconian DRM down our throats while insisting that the things we buy are not actually ours, contrary to the laws of buying and selling going back to the beginning of humanity.

    It's like:

Yeah, you know how you used to buy something and it was yours?  Now when you buy something from us, it is still ours.  We are betting you will buy the Xbox One anyway.  MWA HAHAHAHA!

Everquest Next and Destiny are my top priority atm.

Looking at TESO with the utmost skepticism but I'll be giving it a chance if it shows some real promise and Elder Scroll "feel".

  • jtcgsjtcgs Member Posts: 1,777
Yet another list with mediocre games the industry is trying to force down our throats...at least you had ArcheAge on there. Wild Star I can at least partially understand since it has some innovation in its bland a-typical MMO world...and the fervor for TESO has died down dramatically all over the internet since the information from PAX came out only the gaming sites believe that the game will still have a big impact and that is mostly due to being paid to say it.

I'll be watching for what is learned about Wildstar and Archeage for sure.

    Elder Scrolls Online as nr2?

If Neverwinter was a failgame, ESO will fail so miserably making RipperX look like a pro compared to it. Destiny I agree, looks promising but can be just as much vaporware as Titan. The rest, Iam dissapointed "MMORPG.COM" Staff.

Speaking from a delusional stand point, I just want an update on the B&Sen Site.
  • RhimeRhime Member UncommonPosts: 303

My only regret is that Destiny won’t be on the PC, but it’ll be interesting to see if the gameplay is more than just a massively multiplayer shooter and indeed something special.

    Not on the PC?

    Who fucking cares...?

My top want for E3 is tickets and plane tickets to get there ;)

I guess I can settle for watching it on g4tv and the internetz :(

  • redcappredcapp Member Posts: 722

Soo number one is a console game that isn't actually an MMO...

Seems to be a trend round these parts lol.

And hex?  I dunno.  The whole point of card games is being there with friends, imo.

Archeage I used to be hyped up for, but as time goes on it is just diminishing.  I think it's just taking too long.

The other two look interesting but I'm reluctant to get my hopes up.
