LOL yep Necro Post but funny thing about DOTA 2, is the community is still open to abuse if you get people pushing reports real or not on people you get banned from playing other game modes but one which in reality just ruins one entire game-mode and creates the same toxic experiences for the most part except when matched with those who don't deserve to be there either.
Meanwhile League OF Legends, has went from "Tribunal" to a fully automated system and I used to get restrictions over there too, but every since they phased out "Tribunal" I have yet to get chat restricted or banned from ranked at all proving abuse of the Tribunal System they had in place.
Overwatch same thing automated system no punishments despite little kids yelling "NO Don't go Widowmaker.
Still time for DOTA 2 to update itself I guess to be more like League.
Oh and League OF Legends also added "Mute Ping Function" and / Mute All these are the saving grace when you get matched with 4 other idiots and 1 or more people bitching in chat.
Some rules are really not always clear to us, but to each his own. I like this game, and I have never encountered a similar problem.
The only thing that always bothered me was the amount of time I had to spend to make out everything and achieve a good Dota 2 ranks. But again, it's exclusively my problem and my choice.

Valve making Dota 2 anything more like League would be a death knell to that game. Part of the reason people like it so much is that it's got a ridiculously high skill ceiling. There is a reason AI researchers chose Dota 2 for their research.

Agree. I also quit Dota 2 only after 4 years, unfortunately. Not only the game has a toxic community but it also was causing me a lot of stress. And although some people may say that if you don't like the game, just quit it; this doesn't apply to Dota at all. It has many things that force you to play and you unconsciously surrender to them coming back again and again. The most crucial for me were precious in-game items and my friends.

So, if you want to quit it make sure to sell your items first - https://dmarket.com/ingame-items/item-list/dota2-skins.
And do it with your friends. It's just stealing your time.
