So if you bought money after April 1st and before June 30th you got a Bazaar themed kite.
They are practically noncombat pets, but they float above you and have same type of physics to them as hair has. They also move with your character if you do emotes such as dance. Funniest thing is probably having a warrior do the spin bug and then take out his kite.

Oh please, they are amazing. Not amazing in a mind blowing way, but in a fun way.
They dont play any role in the game other than being another toy to play with. And best of all, they were "free".
It depends on how much you like additional content I suppose! Every little bit helps any RPG.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
I guess we differ in whats amazing.
Ugh, to me this is silly fluff. I hate this stuff. No one will even bring them out in a few weeks. To me it s a waste of time making them, free or not.
~The only opinion that matters is your own.Everything else is just advice,~
Every bit of "fluff" is called immersion and that is what role playing is about. If you don't care for it then don't use it. /shrug
People get upset when there isn't enough content, and others choose to complain there is too much.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
I don't mind things like this. Fluff is ok. I seriously doubt this took much time or effort to create either. I just hope they don't go overboard with too many cute vanity items, such as the charr and quaggan backpacks, or else it will start to remind me of hello kitty or something..
I'd be happier if they did away with scaling!!!!

Exactly my point. Games have gone so far away from what they once were. This kiddie crap makes me want to puke.

scaling what... Level scaling? No thank you.
Actually, what they need to do is make your encounters more tough when you go back to a lower level zone. Even with the scale down you are still OP due to the gear and stuff. IT needs to be more challenging, but it needs to be there. Its ok if you dont like it but making the game more like the rest its not what the game needs.
being harassed by mobs at all levels is never fun. I can understand being harrassed at higher levels but not at low levels. My friends have said the same thing, it's a chore to play, and getting beat on all the time without breaks makes the game lame. Not many people on anymore.... you noticed? the game needs help, maybe kites will bring them back (LOL)... for me to come back I need to be a little more OP in lower level areas so I can relax *instead of tense up all the time) while I play. IMHO

Hate to disagree, but to me it's immersion breaking. The silly non-realistic stuff. Just my opinion, not wanting to be the no fun guy, but seeing a toon in armor with weapons flying a kite, doesn't do it for me. Not a huge fan of the dancing either. It's funny at times, but seems like every second of down time, some one does the twist. Though I'll admit to joining my share of dance parties in the past. To do these things and really add to rpg, they should incorporate things into gameplay, like performers in SWG. Having balls (the dancing type), parties, or other events to do without armor and weapons, people dressing up. Something so its not as jarringly out of place. And you youngins get off my lawn!!
Amazing for GW2 :P
J/K hehe.
