So you can agree then that all the stuff in FFXIV is just rehashed shit from other games and there is no real reason to play it or enjoy it compared to what is offered now. Every kite you see ( and there are a crap-ton) is someone that used the gem store in the past quarter. Think about that with how well the game is doing. A sea of kites, servers that keep having their population caps increased (confirmed by ANet and observation), and have never closed a server, adding some since launch.
Yes, I got one too. They are actually kind of cool to see when a bunch of kites are flying over a keep wall in WvW.

Also flying kites is far from a kid's sport. There are so many kite clubsout there for adults that have members who display amazing creations. There are also kite festivals.
Additionally your remark is a bit ironic since "video games" are also considered "kiddie" stuff by some.
Not all games are for kids only. There are challenging ones like chess for example. GW2 also has non-kiddie activities such as jumping puzzles. Quaggan backpacks remind me of Dora the Explorer...

IMHO, people just not understand what is amazing... it is not the kites per se, it is the fact Anet is giving them free for everyone that made a gem purchase last two months.
Well I am a big guild wars 2 fan and I agree there is nothing amazing about kites. At the same time it's just a little fluff item out of many and it's not like they haven't added other more meaningful things like a whole new achievement system, new stat combination for crafting armor sets, new weapon and armor skins, new instrument, new mini game. Not including the actual content lol. I for one look forward to sitting on someones face and flying my kite , then maybe ill play them a burial song....

Why would you want scaling removed? That is just stupid. Without scaling a lvl 80 char would have only 5 or so zones that werent trivial to play in.
The only reason I see why someone would dislike scaling is because he's a keyboard faceroller.
Which is even more weird because i always faceroll with my high levels chars on low level zones. They are probally badies with light wearer chars
