For 1.0 players who want early access

http://www.g2play.net/store/Final-Fantasy-XIV-A-Realm-Reborn-Early-Access-Key.html

3$ for one early access key.

You will be able to register your codes on one of these websites as soon as Square Enix opens up the early access registration:

NA: http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com
EU: http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com

I have bought many games from those guys and i only encountered a problem once which they solved immediately.

I have just registered my code and it seems that besides early access we also get the two virtual items that come with the pre order, the mog cap and the cat doll.

1.0 players get early access as far as i know.
  • ZadawnZadawn Member UncommonPosts: 670
I wish they did but they don't. Only legacy 1.0 players get early access meaning people who subscribed for 3 months during the legacy campaign.

  • etlaretlar Member UncommonPosts: 863
not sure if i ever subbed for 3 months, but i did have a legacy char in beta, so does taht mean i get early acces or have to purchase that one you linked? :)
  • ZadawnZadawn Member UncommonPosts: 670
All 1.0 characters were moved to a legacy server so that does not necessarily mean you are legacy. At first i thought so myself because i had crysta(SE currency) on my account and thought i had subscribed but no.

  • etlaretlar Member UncommonPosts: 863

dang, i hope SE is going to clarify on this, but anyways, 3 dollars is cheap, so not a problem at least, and thanks for linking this :)

I thought it would help people in the same situation as I which is why i linked so no problem.

The trouble is this wont help anybody from 1.0 who is carrying on with ones character..

do you know why :D ?

Because they dont allow another key to be added to the account you can only have one key assigned to ones login details that holds ones characters created :P

so you would have to delete the service and make a new one but then that service becomes new and ur characters are not there not more as its tied to a new key :D

tis true sorry :D checked it out myself earlier today..

p.s since when did SE sell early access keys only? seriously come on lol,, how do these things work cause im sure g2play did not go "hey can we sell some shit on ur behalf for early access at such a low low price :D"

Hm just got one - my order is "queued" - i really hope this works.
  • EhllfhireEhllfhire Member UncommonPosts: 633

You can get early access for free.

    1. Login to amazon

    2. Place order for FF XIV:ARR PS3 edition

    3. Check email for preorder code that arrived 32 milliseconds after you ordered.

    4. Follow the emails instructions

    5. Log back into amazon and cancel order

     Voila you have Early access

Any graphical, audio, or gameplay restrictions not seen in other mmos but found in FFXIV can be blamed on one thing.

Did you read at all what I wrote?

It certainly wont work if you want to use a 1.0v toon you been playing.

Also "qued" with g2play... If its ur first time buying off that site you will need to photocopy ur shit for proof of who you are..

thats right,, they want hard docs normally unless they changed ways .. they will also tell you its a one time only thing, fortunatley that part is true lol.

So how does this work? I already bought the early acces code from the site. I own an old FFXIV game and account which made me able to play in beta phase 2, 3 and 4. What do I have to do, use my old FFXIV gamecode again on the square enix account page to get the new game, and then use the early acces code there too? Or do they automatically give me a FFXIV ARR game in my account because they know I owned the old one so I just have to use the early acces code?

Order has been processed and i received my code. i don't want my character from 1.0. that's obviously why i'm getting a key - because i didn't subscribe long enough to build a character worth keeping. And if it means losing my "2 day open beta" for a "3 day" head start and being able to play this weekend - awesome.
  • treyu86treyu86 Member UncommonPosts: 270
But i don't get it. I guess just with the code you won't get the full game, for that you need to buy it. So people like us with the 1.0 version how do we get the early acces once we have got the early acces code? Anyone please? :)

well the key is a early access key apparently as one you get with a pre order.. if you already pre oredered the game you would get a key anyhow for early access.

so.. with that said, you bought a key for early access only but dont want to put it on the account (probably cause you cant) with 1.0v game service...

hence then you will need another game service registered that means "purchasing" the game again to enter the early access code.. lol.. see?

its not a game u bought just a early access key apparently so where are you going to use that key tomorrow? Id be surprised if you get that to work with your service you already have from ffxiv 1.0... if you do then wootage to you :D

Early access code registration starts tomorrow. Regarding the guys from g2play  , they probably just take the early access codes from other ff14 products they sell. I don't really care how they do it. As i have stated i only encountered a problem when buying from them which was solved immediately therefore i trust them.

So how are you going to handle all? If I enter my square enix account, under Service Accounts I can see I have Final Fantasy XIV from September 2010. Now I have that early acces code. Should I register it there? Or should I cancel the service, and re-register my old 1.0 code then apply the early access code?

I never implied they were not trustworthy, ive used them many times myself, I was just letting the guy know that it seemed to me the way he wrote that it was his first purchase from them and usually they have strong measures to make sure you are who you say you are when buying off them..,

Anyhow with that said..yes its a key from wherever and is to get you into headstart but it will be interesting to see how if at all that can work with an already registered service of 1.0.... the SE guys themselves and posts on SE forums do state as I looked today that you can not have two registered FFXIV services... so I will be shocked if a early start key taken from a pre order game box or wherever will work in conjunction with 1.0 service..

its not rocket science its just whats been stated by them.. Id love it to work of course and if I had one bit of positive feeling of that I would of grabbed one myself.. but I think its going to be fruitless..

I'm finding it hard to believe that I wont be able to register a pre-order code on a game i already have without creating an account. I'm assuming i will get the pre-order items and early access added to my account by putting this on there.

It's not exactly the same, but it's almost the same as you saying i would have to make a new account to be a collectors addition on my 1.0? Lol. No game has ever worked like that. Seems to me a pre-order code would be more of an upgrade for an old account for the items/early access.

We will see tomorrow when they allow pre-order codes to be put in and I use the one i have sitting in my email now from the site listed from the OP.

For 3 bucks - (less than a pack of cigs, or a ride to town) - i think its worth a shot to get to play friday after a long week of work and get past the hordes (30+) coming release.

This was posted by a SE representative on square enix forums.

    "Greetings,

The pre-order codes that are being distributed for North America and Europe include instructions that they will be redeemed via a special website:
    NA: http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com
    EU: http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com

This special site is not yet live for users to redeem the codes received from their retailer.
Once the code redemption for this site is live, scheduled for August 20, 2013, you will be able to enter the code you received that looks like: ABCDEF-###-ABCDEF-###

That will then give you all the instructions required to register your early access code.

In short, hang tight guys and don't panic! "

As you can see they will enable two special websites where you will be able to register your codes for both EU and NA, once they open up the registration which should be sometimes today.

I did that like last week at a local game stop. Made sure they printed my code. :P

Do a search on g2play before you give them any personal information.  Do your homework.

    No bitchers.

I never had to give them any personal information.I also pay through paypal every time i buy something online.

EDIT: Just in case people think that i am trying  to promote g2play, i do not, i just thought it would help people out.It is up to you if you trust them or not.

They seem to have a reputation that proceeds them.  They are rumored to buy cheap, Russian versions of the game and then reselling them in other countries, the publishers then realize and seize the keys.  Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't... sometimes they work for a while then the keys get yanked and your game gets yanked.

Just buyer beware.  Most of the stuff I've read is by players who have been taken advantage of.  Might be cheaper to just spend 30 bucks and know that you're not going to have an account banned 6 months down the road due to an invalid key or something.

I'm in the same boat by the way... a 1.0 player that is not legacy and has to wait til the 27th.  3 days.  2 of which might be down with 90000 errors after this last beta lol.  Not sure I can justify 10 bucks a day when that equates to full two months of gametime if I just wait ;)

They do sell russian keys as well but from what i've seen they always specify if a key was russian or not.
