Purchased today, received no key and no confirmation email.

Can anyone help me with this?

I purchased the game today and my credit card has already been charged.  However I received no confirmation of my order, no game codes, or headstart codes, or anything for that matter.

I created a square-enix account but it says I don't have any games registered and I can't log in to download the game.

Any suggestions?  Or just wait a week or so?

    Did you buy it from SE? They are probably swamped with a billion other things to do, it may just take a while to get sent out. Definitely don't wait longer than the release day. Call support if you don't get it by the 28th, but I'd suspect you'd get it tonight or tomorrow.

    Report it to who exactly? Anyone who would take your report seriously who realize what's actually happening and laugh in your face. If he doesn't get his keys by launch, or if SE doesn't put out official word about why they aren't being sent out then he can report it. But then I ask again, to who? If you have no advice to give to the OP go away, there are plenty of other forums to rage about the ineptness of SE.

    To the OP, you can try contacting support now. May not get anyone to answer, but it won't hurt to try. And tehre should be a link to download the launcher, I'll see if I can find it.

    Well to be fair the launch of the game isn't until Tuesday.  If by Tuesday I don't have my code, I'll just get the transaction removed from my credit card.  Easy as that.

    My brother purchased 1 hour before early release (genius in action, to be sure).  Couldn't get it going from SE so bought thru amazon.  Putting the 16 digit code in never quite worked but the game showed up on his account.  Never got an email.  So basically can't play.  Tried contacting support and nothing happening there either.  So, he's kinda stuck, not too happy since the overall process is weak, and is about to just give up and cancel.

     

    It's not like it really matters.  Logging in at all right now is iffy and progress within the game if you do get in is iffy due to system issues.

     

    Good luck.  They are getting massacred right now on all fronts and luck is about the only hope I think you have.

    Ok by purchasing a product online either for future use or immediate use the contract is considered fulfilled at time of payment, and if the seller does not fulfill their side of the deal then under consumer law its consider theft 

    But the point im making is the fact again (as you have done) is because its the 'darling buds of Final Fantasy' people are prepared to use the lame excuse of teething issues, I run an online store and as soon as products are purchased then the buyer gets IMMEDIATE confirmation from my site, Now if i can (as a single trader) cope with that concept then im sure a large company should be able too. Dont bother with the "servers are busy " this is not an excuse that would hold in any court of law -

    The point im making is that just because somewhere is busy to not even bother with the confirmation of purchase is shady at best, Dont tell me the servers are at fault, because strangly enough he has been billed, if a server was at fault then surely he shouldn't of been billed - Can charge his card but not send an email.

    And finally in response, who would you report to then simply "trading standards". 

     

    Of course im not advocating this , especially until the release date, that is unless you have purchased the now laughable early access item

    Personally I didn't want to wait an unknown amount of time after purchasing the game to get my activation code, figured 12 was more than enough time considering I got the game early for early access...which doesn't seem like it will happen for most given the server issues.

     

    I hear that there were no issues buying through green man gaming...I still have cold feet on jumping back in...right now it looks like a complete and total mess of a launch...so maybe I wait a few weeks.  Either way ill probably never buy from the SE main page again given the total disregard for their customers. 

    Not sure how you can take someone's money, not give them the product they bought, and go silent on the issue.

    Well, I would go with this... if SE's website relied on hamster wheels to keep it going. Perhaps all of the Lalafells are busy making "FFXIV Rules!" tabards instead of hand filing credit card orders.

     

    Don't wait to call support. Your index card may get lost in the fire that will undoubtedly happen when the NA/EU servers explode due to  excessive connection attempts. 

    I'm just waiting for a F2P overhyped sandbox WoW clone with full PVP, epic raid bosses, instanced group content, and Crysis-quality graphics to come out. That, or something fun.

    Unfortunately I never received a confirmation email, so I don't have an order number to cancel.  I don't want to cancel...I'd just like to start downloading the game (I understand the servers are down.

    I tried calling support and it said they are experiencing "higher than average call volume" and the recording said to try later and hung up.  Lol.

    You don't need the order number.  Just the email you used to register the account, and the last 5 digits of your CC.  My order number kept showing up as invalid, despite when I used the email/CC info to access the invoice It was the exact same order number that was invalid.

     

    You don't need a confirm email, and tbh the quicker you do this the easier it will be.  The money went back into my bank instantly, because it is still treated as a preorder, so there is really nothing to refund.

    Only works for NA purchases too btw.

     

    At least this way if you ever choose to return to the game you wont be banned and your CC blacklisted.

    I went and looked at this, it actually gives me my key for the order. Try it out OP, you may get your key.

    you should have received an instant confirmation and code.Are you sure you have the right email used on account?

    There is the possibility they shut down all servers including the server running the orders,in that case you should not wait long at all,but i find that very unlucky as you should have had a code to enter on your account within a minute at most.

    Only other thing i can think of is a LOT of illegal activity goes on in games,especially new games.Square might actually wait for confirmation of sale before acting,in that case would take a bit longer but no more than same day.One more point,their accounts and support and pretty much everything else ,does not work on Sundays or even Saturday's.if i remember right,they open up shop around 2pm est monday.

    Last point,i would be VERY careful of sites disguised as Square Enix selling you products.They do exist,Square posts them in their security warnings.I mention this because you should have had a confirmation within one minute no matter what,especially if it took your money,that means it is up and running and not down.I tend to use Paypal whenever i can,they protect you i think up to 1500  and they are on top of illegal sites and post warnings often.

    Anyhow,i hope it works out for you,welcome to the corrupt world we live in.

    I have read a lot today as I have waited for my codes, and as I still wait for them. I'll say that they have experience in MMOS, FFXI and all the expansions, FFXIV what 3 years ago, they are not newbies. I mean I have waited for a little over 12 hours and I'm not really upset, there are always bumps going to happen, but the fact that I nor my wife who we both ordered from different vendors do not have registration codes or early access ones. I feel bad for the people who ordered earlier and do not have them, are not playing because of string of letters and numbers.

    Oh ok awesome.  When I looked at it I didn't realize it was an OR option.  I thought it needed the order number, password, email, and CC info.
