The only thing that would make me return would be FF14 3.0 when they would hopefully do the things right this time. As FORMER Square enix fan I can say have never ever been so disappointed by any mmo release as with ARR.
They did do things right. You just don't like it.

Actually you are right, there is no wrong doing. :-) It is always right. At least for some. But who did thing really right (right in sense they made game enough profitable and enjoyable for satisfactory large number of players) will just time show. :-) Even with 1.0 some were very happy. But SE definitively admited as failure. We will see in time how will ARR evolve (or devolve for somebody :-)).
I have to say having gone back to FFXI recently I'm glad that they made so many mistakes again with FFXIV, it's an ok game but it's not going to be that popular and it's not going to be able to hold onto many players. I think it could even get less players than FFXI has now in 6 months time.
There is just so little long-term content and they seem to be adding content at a snails pace.
If it had been a really good game it might of killed off FFXI, as it is it's pretty safe for a long time to come.
The game is a universal hit with over 300,000 concurrent connections and has overcome all the petty issues experienced by some at launch. The feeling in game is so positive and the promise of continued content and events is refreshing in this age of disposable mmos. Sales have resumed and I encourage anyone who hasnt tried it yet to do so. 100% guarantee youll love it or you'll not.
Ui improvements are incoming
more larger open zones suitable for "camps" are coming
unique seasonal events done like only Final Fantasy can are coming.
several additional Jobs already in the works!

Really? And which games(s) are you playing right now?
Currently playing SWTOR and it's MUCH better than it was at launch.

Currently have returned to wow, before swtor, from time time to time aoc, co, tsw, ... just as filler ups. So far only games that gives me a lot of satisfaction to play and I enjoy most are for sure wow and swtor.
