Problem is to many people have friends and family on mmos that they don't support. That is why they end up paying for them.

WoW was a massive success building on its own success and kept alive by all the connections people have with their friends and family on WoW. They can't leave, or they'd face loneliness playing a new game by themselves, as their family members /friends quit and go to console single player games and are unwilling to get into any other mmo.

Hence, a lot of people are stuck, losing guildmates and people to play with, being endlessly lonely on mmo worlds, as everyone jumps ship and there is no guild any longer to call home, because all of your buddies leave for the "next big thing".

We all keep playing because we love our games, but we all have things we wish could change, we're not going to give up and leave a mostly 80% satisfying game because of the 20% we complain about, we wish they would improve with our money. By not paying for them we'd be dooming a game we do enjoy, we realize that it takes money to change a game, and how can we support that change we desire if we don't hand them our money?

Vanguard Saga of Heroes was a failure on launch, it has had a skeleton crew and never had any expansions, that game had massive potential to be great, it was a beacon of hope to some of us. What it could have been , could have beaten out World of Warcraft, the age of the theme park has to end, we need to try and support sand boxes, but we need lore/storyline and everything to come together and be right...

If we had money to give Vanguard Saga of Heroes, the game could have been so much more, however, WoW takes our money and never changes into anything more, so we all feel hopelessly stuck in this cycle.

What can we do? Complain endlessly about what we wish we could have, knowing we can't have it, loving our worlds our storylines, not wanting to play some "next big thing" sandbox without any ip storyline, but seeing that our favorite ips are pointless theme parks.

Can we ever get a sandbox like Star Wars Galaxies? Something with an awesome ip/storyline, that is fun to play? PVE friendly and not pvp hardcore please!

I often wonder when are people going to understand that these games do not have to be finished in the blink of an eye and that the only reason this is happening is because of the player...

MMOs just wouldn't be any fun unless we could yell "UR DOIN IT RONG!" at somebody.

Too fast, too slow, not roleplaying, not PVPing, too hardcore, too casual, too themepark, too sandbox, too social, not social enough.

Don't forget the biggest one "it is NOT a MMO"!!!
