God bless them, less morons here.
I see that in the reverse way. Less morons there.
One of the greatest positive aspects of this forum is that it keeps rants of a specific type of "player" (or most often "non-player") here instead of them polluting the more specific forums.
People who willingly subit themself to heavy moderation are morons, not the other way.
Yes, that's right, instead of keeping a clean and respectful environment where constructive discussion is fostered we should just allow every emotional train wreck to be able to spew whatever their ID feels like that day because they never learned how to use "their inside voice".
And that is what this site attracts and what it's reputation has become. If you want to have a serious conversation about an mmo that doesn't involve bashing it, you tend to find other places to go.

I don't know. At first I thought it looked lame for an MMO then I realized that it's not an MMO but an Elder Scrolls game with all the territories available AND multiplayer features, which is what fans have been begging for.
Pretty much this ^.
I know I wasn't very excited for TESO during all the media BS, leak coverups, sealed lips, and crappy leaked footage.
However, the game is doing exactly what it's been advertising, from what I've seen. It's still too early to say whether or not it will be a good game, but the game looks great atm, and the combat is very elder scrolls (for better or worse). I think the fact that this game's hype has pretty much disintegrated might actually turn out to be a positive in the long run. Too many people develop early, unrealistic expectations about games; just to have those expectations ruin their enjoyment of a good game.
SWTOR was the last time I will ever be hyped about MMO. I take everything with a grain of salt now. I'm betting that many people on here feel the same.
By being realistic about my expectations for EQN I guard against disappointment. It's also just a waste of time to dwell on something that is out of my control. I'm just going to wait and see what happens and not fall for marketing campaigns - that's my motto. Evidence-based analysis. Thus far, all actual evidence regarding EQN (graphics, revealed mechanics) look bad to me (with the exception of voxel and Landmark).
All the wind in my sails left with the decision to launch the game NEXT YEAR.
Combine that with a series of game design decisions I don't agree with and I am consciously avoiding the infrequent crumb-lets of information ESOL condescends to release.
