Games just don't seem appealing at the moment. I don't feel like paying attention and reacting.
-Also I am not involved socially in any games right now, so I feel that by coming to forums that I can at least get a little "social" out of it, for what it is worth.

I enjoy coming here and other sites while I am relaxing on the couch and watching TV. I will be playing later after my sports and shows are over. That's my excuse.
How many people long for that "past, simpler, and better world," I wonder, without ever recognizing the truth that perhaps it was they who were simpler and better, and not the world about them? R.A.Salvatore
Because I am at work where there is erratic downtime, had 4 hours of sleep, and my head hurts.

I'll tell you what I'd like to know: why some people feel it necessary to list their PC hardware and stats as their so-called "signature" in many of these forums. Honestly, is it that damn important to "show off" your rig to a bunch of internet trolls and weirdos (and the occasional nice person) that you've never even met? I mean, I have a really good PC and a powerful GPU too but I don't feel the need to list it all every time I post in these places.

Showing off and sometimes strengthening their complaints about a program by showing you that their hardware+connection is not the problem in their claim.

Putting 12.5" in your sig doesn't impress a bunch of nerds nearly as much ?
Well I'm not dedicated to any games at the moment but ... I guess I'm just interested in maybe one day finding a game that reignites that flame I once had for the genre... but something tells me my adventures in these games may be coming to a close for a while.
...this is me playing the campaign in X-Rebirth. The "scary face" is the capitol ship which just opened fire on me while I was peaceably destroying the jump drive and engines on a prison ship, stripping my shield power and rendering me incapable of gaining distance to evade the turrets.
Well at the moment I'm at work but when I first read this post this morning I was sitting in the loo.
When I am playing games (DAOC freeshard at the moment) they have substantial downtime between fights, sometimes several minutes so plenty of time to check in on the forums and post even.
Heck, EVE had gate camps that let me write my first novel, pay my bills, watch all 3 LOTR titles etc. You fast action combat/MMO fans are missing out.
