Because there are no games out there worth playing right now and especially, no good communities out there anywhere, therefore I haven't logged into any MMO in close to a year. What else should I do than hang out in various forums?
And I am seeing less and less point to the "hang out on the forums" part with pretty much every day that passes.
No one's mind ever changes, and it's been an endless repetition of the same arguments daily since--at least--2004. A decade, folks.
There's nothing new in the gaming world, but doesn't look like there's anything new in the gamers, either.
No, there isn't and I think both are going downhill rapidly, the gamers moreso than the games themselves. I also don't "hang out on the forums", this is but one of many different forums that I look through every day, I spend a few minutes here at best and then I move on. No, nothing is ever going to change, it's the same people with the same arguments as it was 5 years ago and in another 5 years, they'll still be here arguing the same thing.

Hey man, I've been playing the same MMORPG for 10 years and enjoying it. I logged on this afternoon over mobile and talked to a Rasta pirate. The day before yesterday I was playing on the Ouya, reclining on the couch with the love of my life. The game may be the same, but things have definitely changed, within and without.
To each his own, I guess.

I'm currently getting my dogs groomed before going to work. Meanwhile at home The ESO is downloading for my beta time tonight ^_^ the reason I'm becoming active on this forum is to ultimately give Warhammer 40,000 The Eternal Crusade the HYPE vote I truly want to give! If there are any 40k fans in the thread, I recommend visiting the eternalcrusade forum. They're friendly and ripe with 40k RP and general love for the 40k universe.
when i do play games these days, it is either Elder Scrolls (not the terrible online one, but the real ones) or I play Demon/Dark Souls on my PS3.
there is also a fun strat game on steam called 'The Banner Saga:Factions' which i pop in and play a few rounds of here and there.
I don't play MMO's anymore because there is no point to it. I come to these forums to watch the ever-declining state of online rpgs and the communites of the people that play them. it helps confirm my choice to avoid them.
last one I tried was DF:unholy wars. the steam client wanted me to buy the game again after just 3 days of playing. it wasted my entire free month. i emailed steam and they would not fix it. i wasted 40$ on a game that the Steam client would not let me log into. i only blame myself, as i already felt that MMOs just robbed people anyway.
its like when Sony turned my Vanguard account back on for no reason. the game was deleted off my PC. they told me it was my fault and did not refund the money.
the user agreements don't cover issues like this, yet they use the user agreement as a way to not refund, even when they do things like not allow you on the server because they have a glitch in their system and want you to buy the game twice, or when they turn your account on when you don't even have it installed anymore.
so yeah. that is why I don't play MMO's. I can play better games without the risk of being robbed.

Sometimes I like to sit on forums and bullshit. I do have other hobbies other than video games.
But most of the time, I am playing games.
I also have two laptops, a tablet and a smartphone. I have many ways to post.
