Why address it? I know all that happened. I was there through it all. However, it's irrelevant to what I said.

Let me repeat it once again:

I was responding to a statement made by Hyan claiming that SE releases content updates every 3 months, as though it's already happening. That was disingenuous for him to state as they've only released one update so far, which came 4 months into the game's release (why doesn't matter... the point is it did). We are only 1 month into that first update and still 2 months shy of SE releasing their next one, assuming their intended 3 month schedule.

It has nothing to do with me being a "hater". It has everything to do with me pointing out plainly verifiable facts. It's disingenuous to assert something has though it's already happening, when it hasn't yet at all. I don't care what the subject is.

As for being a "hater", you couldn't be more wrong. Am I disappointed in the direction Yoshi-P has taken ARR? Yes. Very much. Am I a "hater"? - well, I suppose to anyone who can't tolerate criticism of anything to do with the game, I am.

    However...

Let me just show you how much of a "hater" I am. I was fully behind this game. I pre-ordered 1.0. I happily paid a sub when they were reinstated and continued playing right up through the end of 1.23, when the servers went down. I followed ARR closely all through its development, devouring every bit of news I could find about it and then obsessively discussing it with friends who were also following it. I pre-ordered the PS3 CE for ARR - even though I already owned 1.0's CE and would get ARR's CE client for free. I spent ~$90 on it anyway, because I fully believed in what I thought Yoshi-P was doing and wanted to support it beyond what I already had.

Things turned a corner for me when he started releasing more specific information about his direction for the game (things he'd shied away from answering, or gave otherwise elusive answers to up to that point), and I realized he was taking the game in a direction that was nothing like what I'd hoped he would; one I wasn't crazy about.  I ultimately walked away from the game, but still keep an eye on it, waiting to see if one of these updates might perhaps offer something I could enjoy and make me want to play again, despite my misgivings of it.

And you know what? Even if I was playing it, and was still a raving fan of it, I would still  have corrected Hyan on his remark, because it would still  have been disingenuous.

So, if all that somehow makes me a hater to you... simply because I dare to correct someone on a misrepresentation of something... then all I can say is, "You're wrong, but thank you for the compliment".
