I can see that with an axe this big it surely needs both my hands to wield such power.
Winning a discussion is not what it's about. If you could pass insight to someone or learn something from it in return - noone can really loose, can they?

It's free to play game without progression. Terminate my account? Here, let me make a new one... 5 minutes, done... Let me build a penis bigger and better than before! With bigger and rounder balls! AND I'll add a bit of nasty hair there! Here, how about it?
It actually takes a lot of time to be able to create a big penis statue, because of the material requirements.
Doing it the way in the OP is quick, however, but as said, it disappears in 20 minutes.
I personally hope they do take some action on things like this. Nothing against Towelliee, but doing something like that really is just poor judgement.
I know, I know... someone will say 'you guys take these things too seriously' or 'it's just a game'.
And hopefully this thing was gone in 20 minutes or so, as someone else said it probably would be.
But really... stuff shouldn't be done to begin with. He's a grown man that's entertaining and influencing several thousand people. Nobody wants to be on a server with all of those people now thinking it's cool to make penis art all over the place.
For the sake of the community.... keep that sh*t in WoW trade chat or Goldshire (Moon Guard).

But yeah, it's not surprising when they give folks free reign in molding the landscape. Should be a fun time though.

Oh, Landmark HAS progression. Even now in the earliest of Alpha we do have progression that sucks to lose.
Also this is the first time i have seen such a thing, not even for myself but on a screenshot. So i am fine up to this point
MMOs finally replaced social interaction, forced grouping and standing in a line while talking to eachother.
Now we have forced soloing, forced questing and everyone is the hero, without ever having to talk to anyone else. The evolution of multiplayer is here! We won,... right?

If you need serious time investment to get stone and dirt, well, it will be a big no-no for a lot of normal players.

Are we really bothered or dismayed about anything these days? Maybe the OP should have Captioned, " Slow start to using an amazing tool of programming".
I Mined all the twitch channels for actual engineering and construction and i finally found one worth watching. Copeeeland (twitch name) is making great progress using the tools SOE has provided , even stretching them to the point of finding how limited the tools are with a creative mind.
An architect in his twitch chat was amazed and disappointed at the same time on how much (or little) you can do with the templates and such.
Really worth a watch if you find time to watch Copeeeland test the game and work around the limitations.
I will be looking forward to getting this game.

Here's a point to ponder - Which is more immature? The one that actually did the transgression or the one who points it out in a blog to the rest of the world?

Depends on the magnitude of the impact you want to make. A ten foot tall phallic symbol would probably require no more than 10 minutes of digging to craft. A hundred foot tall on the other hand... Well just use a factor of 1000 for the material and thus, time requirements. Add to that the time to actually build it. Obviously you could make it hollow to save on materials.
The thing with stone, sand and dirt is that you get them while harvesting the stuff you actually want, so there is not that much grind to harvest those three basic materials.
I had enough stone to build a small tower by the time I was at tier 3 pick.
But if all you're going to do is build a giant penis, it's going to take some time and effort, no matter how you look at it.
It's going to be a free game...pretty hard to keep people banned when all they need is an email address to play the game.
Going by what is happening on some maps, lots of people spent 60-100 bucks to harass, griefs and troll.
They get board after awhile of remaking new email addresses everytime to make a new account. Anyway this is acualy the first penis type thing ive seen in landmark out of the entire time ived played it probaly bout 30-40 hours now haha only came out 3 days ago or so
