To quote myself from another thread "At the moment there is a lot of activity around the Spires in the T1 zones as that for some reason is where "everyone" wants to be. Some people have built as close to the spires as they can and it was a annoying to have to run around their constructions to get to the spire. Also people has been building walls around the outside of other peoples claims (and the walls will erode in some time think its 30 mins) to prevent the owner to get into their claim. But in the outskirts of the higher tier zones it is very peaceful, me and my wife has adjacent claims on the outskirts of a T2 zone and we see the 5 - 6 other people that has claims there otherwise nothing. "
Otherwise I agree with Picard too I have seen very little griefing so far, of course the game has been buggy and lots of "proper" constructions have disappeared too. It will be interesting how things turn out after a week of play without a reset. But this game is not for everybody and that is true for the griefers too, but it will probably attract some creative griefers (if such people exist).

Going by what is happening on some maps, lots of people spent 60-100 bucks to harass, griefs and troll.
I've spend almost the whole day playing today again so far (and also the week end and yesterday) (Europe time), must be like 40 hours in game, switching between servers and areas, and I haven't seen a singly thing like what the OP has posted. But I see a lot of people who have installed crafting stations available to everyone all over the place, which is a great help for all players. I see people politely give help to newcomers in the chat too near the teleport hubs.
Trolls and griefers are a minority, don't let yourself be fooled by doom threads and posts like this. Anyone actually in the alpha knows that such things as the OP image are very rare.
You're right. But the problem will still be idiots making "a statement" when players are trying to do things in organized events.
They'll get perma-banned for it, of course.
Kudos to the many social players who do things right, as you showed. That's what makes "Sandbox" so special and worth playing.
Tonights update changed the time that anything you build stays outside a claim from one hour to one minute. This was to remove griefing that happened here and there, some unhappy faces on the Alpha forums but not many, but it is in the middle of the night so.
There was some screenshots of some very creative griefing though one example was one who tried to build a dome over a spire, pretty impressive.

Agree, racked quite a few hours myself and this is the first i've seen, the community in this game has been the best i've seen in a long long time. There are the odd trolls, but they get shutdown really fast. I will say, i'm not sure if this will stay the same at release, but for now it's nice playing a game with positive and helpful players.
>>Just Instant account terminations. If they go hard and fast on this. It will stop soon enough.
If they want to gamble with 60 or 100 dollars by carving Dicks and Nazi stuff. Their Money.<<
It's free to play game without progression. Terminate my account? Here, let me make a new one... 5 minutes, done... Let me build a penis bigger and better than before! With bigger and rounder balls! AND I'll add a bit of nasty hair there! Here, how about it?
It actually takes a lot of time to be able to create a big penis statue, because of the material requirements.
Doing it the way in the OP is quick, however, but as said, it disappears in 20 minutes.
I thought they said all the changes in the game are Permanent..?

I didn't look at the link (can't, on work cpu), but I imagine it was done in a public area, which isn't permanent.
