If it's successful, expect to see more MMO's doing it.

Yeah, certain states have to pay taxes on Blizzard micro-transactions. I know the wife and I have to pay here in TX. Not sure if it's an issue of state law in regards to online purchases, or because Blizzard has an office in San Antonio.

Yet another example of WoW blatantly stealing ideas from other mmo's.  EQ2 already offers instant character leveling to 85 - for $35.  But hey, at least WoW was the first mmo.

It's sad how I can still remember the old feelings of respect that I had for Blizzard as a company, back in their old Warcraft 1-3, Starcraft, and Diablo 1-2 days.  How far the mighty have fallen due to their immense greed.

"Hey, let's "leak" the fact that the 1-90 character boost will be $60 ! Everybody will rush to buy the expansion, because that's a bargain in comparison !"

Nah, they wouldn't do that image

If D3 didn't show you what Blizzards priorities were, this obviously does.

No clue what they were thinking with even one level 90 character with WoD, but this seems excessive and silly. People paying the game to not play the game... There is a really bad joke about this to be made.

I like this price, if you are so set on skipping everything it needs to be pricey

Lol, yes, you're completely correct. Totally greedy. I've taken the time to create a list of price increases on WoW's subscriptions since 2004:

    Year Sub Cost % Increase
    2004 $14.99 N/A
    2005 $14.99 0%
    2006 $14.99 0%
    2007 $14.99 0%
    2008 $14.99 0%
    2009 $14.99 0%
    2010 $14.99 0%
    2011 $14.99 0%
    2012 $14.99 0%
    2013 $14.99 0%
    2014 $14.99 0%

If that's not greed, I don't know what is.

And this is a sub game too. The items in the shop are way overpriced compared to other games with the same items. And now you don't have even have to play your character. And i bet they will make a ton of money on it too.

I wish blizzard would charge more. The people that aren't willing to take the one day it takes to get to 90 in WoW deserves to get ripped off.

    Blizzard going full retard.

Glad I no longer play retail WoW.

Really dont get all the tears over this. $60 is a fair price. Id gladly pay $60 just to bypass Northrend, let alone Cata and Pandaland. But then again if you are underemployed or a student I can see where this would be a tad much...I guess.

As for my self, nope I would not buy one!

Players are always leaving and joining wow. That isn't gonna matter to blizz. Also those people did it to themselves, it's their fault for assuming "work" they did on "their" characters mattered at all. It's like they forgot that they don't actually own their characters, blizzard does. I remember this same attitude back when blizz started giving epics for pvp and heroics...all the elitist raiders "quit in droves" because the unwashed got the same color gear. Same thing here..except the people quitting aren't elitists, they are just malcontents looking for some reason to be a victim. It really is staggering to me that at this point in wows life cycle people give a damn about lvl 90 boosts.

I can see it all now...

Pulling the first boss in the big bad heroic raid...

The Main Tank addresses the raid: "Guys! Guys! What are all these buttons? I just bought the game yesterday!! What do I do??????"

There are a lot of great things that wow does, but I am happy I'm not playing it anymore

RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid.

In a leveling themepark game yes, I'd gladly pay for the highest level and gear, no matter the cost. Leveling and gearing up is not fun to me. I'd much rather spend my time fishing or archaeology or something if I still played WoW.

How much you want to bet they slow down the speed of leveling now.

How much you want to bet, it was added to the list, not completely implemented nor tested and set high to stop people from using it? Hence why it was only available for a few minutes before being removed. Besides, who the hell CARES? I mean seriously, that's what? 3-6 hours of pay for something that would normally take a day or 2?

This is the death of wow and you will see the servers plummet in population.

I levelled to 90 warrior last month after leaving lotro to raid in wow after hearing wow was still good. It was so easy. Every dungeon I never died. The dungeons were dps ganks. So easy.

The first raid I did was the same. Easy as hell.

That night I logged out and cancelled my sub.

^^ Remember folks, don't feed the Trolls...even the obvious clueless ones :)

Wow you must have done well in those normal/flex/heroic raids. Or do you mean the Lfr...which aren't meant to be a huge challenge.

Edit: Opps...sorry for feeding the troll... :-(
