So much "stigma" that it's sold out everywhere.  Just more evidence that the negative nancies on forums are a tiny fringe faction of whackadoos.

I bought two Imperial Editions for my brother and me with the 20% voucher through GMG. We both don't have the patience to run back from the spawn point after each death in pvp, when it's so much more convenient to ride. Also, for some reason we were dirt poor during the beta so 17k would probably take us a long while to save up to.

Yeah I only thought there was some anger around the fact that a race was being blocked by a paywall and such, hence my comment on the boycott. Seems like there's going to be a lot of traitors running around the different factions lol. I suppose the whole idea behind the three factions was just for the sake of the PvP fun, like RIFT did with their conquest system.

Bought it as well. The only thing I don't like (which has nothing to do with the imperial edition, but preorder in general) is the faction unlock. I believe races should be restricted to their faction. Although this has been argued to death, I thought the horse could use one more kick.

I got the digital Imperial Edition, a big factor was the sale on Green Man Gaming.

    Playing - FFXIV,  ESO
Played - FFXI, WoW, Lineage 2, Guild Wars, Aion, SWToR, LotRO, GW2, TERA, Rift, ArcheAge, TSW

^This. I couldn't pass up the 20% off and getting it for $64. For $14 more it was totally worth it to get the Imperial race, horse and 5 day early access.

Yeah you wish..  Just think how boring your thread is going to be when you can't stir up some drama...

You should have left the above out then we could have had a straight yap about who went all the way.

Yes - I got the Imperial.  Not for the race, but for the other goodies and 5 days early access.

Haven't heard of any boycott, and I'm getting it. It will be first "collector's edition" I have bought in 6 years.

This is actually my first time buying a CE in my lifetime.

The game itself doesn't have any appeal for me, and I am a long standing TES fan, from the days of Daggerfall. But if there was any chance I'd play TESO, it was swiftly shot down by the existence of the Imperial Edition. Zenimax and company can herd their cattle away from where I am looking.

My opinion is my own. I respect all other opinions and views equally, but keep in mind that my opinion will always be the best for me. That's why it's my opinion.

boycott or not, just make up your own mind if you think the extras are worth it or not and go from there

but to answer - there is no boycott and yes imo it is worth it (if you buy from the right store it is cheaper than the standard edition buying direct)

The irony is almost everyone who is going to play will get the preorder imperial edition, which means characters in there correct faction and not being an imperial will actually be more rare lol.
