No interest in playing at this point in time, so no pre-order for me. Who knows, may change my mind if reports come out that it's the next WOW Killer or something.

I will pre-order Wildstar. I have also pre-ordered WoD. The only upcoming game I have no interest in is ESO because I played the beta quite a bit and its terrible. But then again thats just my opinion.

I'd only preorder if there was a financial benefit for doing it. I'm going to be too busy with ESO and real life to be bothered about participating in beta's.
If and when I get bored with ESO, I will give Wildstar a go.

Why play a WOW clone when you can just play WOW!!!
As much as I liked the fun nature of the combat in Wildstar there was another MMORPG whose combat I liked less, but everything else about it I liked more than Wildstar. So, nah I'm not pre-ordering. I'm going to wait and see how things go and make a decision then. I want to see how they manage after the first month and how they update content.
"As far as the forum code of conduct, I would think it's a bit outdated and in need of a refre *CLOSED*"
I expected to see a LOT more polish and refinement prior to an actual pre-order and release date. The last time I saw a MMORPG in this condition - game crashes, application lock-ups, broken quests, programming still diverting all resources to the CPU, and so forth - it was a alleged "AAA title" with a rushed launch date also, and it was an epic failure that left a sour taste in the mouths of hundreds of thousands of fans.
I think Wildstar has a LOT of potential, but from what I've seen of it so far in CB, and the kick off of two simultaneous Beta Weekends with no signs of improvement from one to the other, I feel like this announcement might be a bit premature.
Yes, I think there is a certain validity to calling Wildstar a "WoW Clone in Space", and in that regard I am a bit disappointed in the content. However, with some refinement I think Wildstar's skill-tier system could possibly be a superior experience to WoW, especially after Cataclysm. There are more choices and customization to choose from. Maybe this is why some liken it to "Vanilla WoW".
I'd say I'm on the fence with this one. I'm a bit over the "it worked for WoW, so why fix what isn't broken?" mindset, but I've been looking forward to Wildstar for quite some time. In some aspects, it offers the snarky, over-the-top experiences I was hoping to find - given the humorous introduction videos, but that humor didn't seem to translate well into the gameplay space.
The current condition of the game itself screams "Not Ready!". I think it's too early to start stress testing servers when there are still numerous hard crashes and broken elements that must be addressed. I will be keeping my eye on Wildstar. It IS only in closed beta right now, I don't expect perfection, but I DO expect a solid foundation.

Because WoW isnt sci-fi?
That's not really a good reason to play something is it?
I love the fantasy genre, but I don't see a fantasy game and "omg will play!" I'm sure you have other (better) reasons you like it over WoW, but if the one great value add for you is that it's "sci-fi'ish" then , it'll be a really short term relationship for you.

cause it was all about the ESO trashing Wildstar was just a cover No on the pre-order for me.
I was quite hyped for this game but now, a few weekends later, my enthusiasm is almost gone. This is the first MMO I got bored with before I even bought it... Maybe its because of how limited the char creation is in practice - despite my best efforts I wasnt able to make a char that Id feel like developing over months of gameplay... Or maybe its the questing that just didnt grab me or the number of useless/lackluster skills/traits (the LAS system should offer options and variety not 5-6 must-have skills and dozens of fillers). Dunno. Its a shame really because I suspect the endgame content will be quite good. Unfortunately I just cant force myself to play the game long enough to get there.

The main draw that attracted me was its similar to wow, its sci-fi and I appreciate the humor of the game. Not necessarily in that order. You assume that wont be enough for me but it absolutely is enough for someone to play a specific game.
Comparing the two biggest releases of the next months, Wildstar is undoubtedly the best. ESO is just everything I thought it would not be. Now I just need to wait to see Wildstar or keep waiting for Everquest Next...
The storyline is a little generic and yes it is essentially WoW 2.0 with a very cool combat system. The world, humour and general fluid gameplay will remind you of WoW, which is no surprise given most of the development team are ex-Blizzard.
That was OK for me though. I think the industry needs MMOs which focus on what's important: THE FUN!
Forget all this crap about revolutionizing and creating this new mega innovative product. Take the good things from every game out there, add a really cool combat system and presto: you got a really fun game called Wildstar. I don't get all the "wow clone! wow clone!" BS really. People don't seem to get angry when virtually every other genre leans on previous hits to craft a new game, why is it the devil when it comes to MMOs? If it's a fun game you really enjoy shouldn't that be what counts above all?
I'd sooner a fun game that takes from other products and improves than a completely innovative game that's more boring than filing my taxes. (Hiya Secret World)

Pre order of course. Its the best MMO to come out since Vanilla WoW and WoW TBC. It's everything WoW should be in 2014 only that is not in Azeroth.
A played the Beta quite a while and even though it has bugs all over the place and the framerate is not optimized yet, it amazed me.
Since I stopped playing WoW for shooting itself on the foot in the name of being accessible to EVERYONE and going away from its roots, I've tried a LOT of MMO's. They all felt clunky somehow and feature-wise they were all very weak or WoW wannabes. They all showed a lot of promise at launch that never got fulfilled or were a straight out disappointment from the start. Some were really good but none the Next Big Thing.
After playing Wildstar I just wanted to play more. It feels like a complete MMO and I've only scratched the surface in it. Plays great, requires skill, its very challenging and there 's just a LOT to do in the game. You never get bored, specially if you're in a guild doing Warplots and Raids. It's content OVERLOAD.
Even hoverboarding randomly around the world is fun. The 5 man adventures are proof that Wildstar knows what a MMO needs, a bunch of different games inside one big game. Tower defense and MOBA-like dungeons? They look great from what I saw. They even talked about adding to that MOBA adventure the possibility of playing against other players instead of just the computer.
The game is huge and is not even out yet. No fake promises required, no "oh its got potential". It's alllll there and its coming in June already. Hard to believe there's a really solid MMO coming out that can beat WoW.
I never said this about any other MMO since I played WoW for ages and I know its quality. That in mind, Wildstar is easily the Next Big Thing. I mean, put both games next to each other and compare features, stuff to do, see who wins.
The only reason people are "Meh..." about it its because of its cartoonish look sci fi goofy theme, there's no fantasy universe like Elder scrolls, Lords of the Rings or WoW. I understand, I was "Meh" too. Still prefer another theme to the game but it doesn't change how good the game is regardless of theme. Plus, it grows on you.
Honestly it would be perfect if Carbine made Wildstar what SWTOR should have been. I prefer Star Wars epicness to goofy Wildstar's kind of epicness even though the latter is pretty funny. But whatever turns them on, aslong as they keep making sweet features. These dudes at Carbine know how to make a MMO, lets just hope they optimize those FPS inconsistencies before June.
It can still all go horribly wrong for Wildstar, who knows. From what I've seen and played though, this game is the best MMO I've played so far, never a theme parked MMO offered so much to do while being fun to play at all times.
PS: MMO's aren t about telling a story through endless questing and voice overs. Competitive MMO's are about having fun learning about the game while leveling and getting seriously hooked at max level when shit get real. If you can make leveling more immersive that's great, but never ever put endgame as second priority in a MMO. Big mistake.

But from what Ive played of Wildstar? no for right now.
But but, they seem to be pulling a Dr. Who!
