How Will You Respond To The One That Reaches The Ruby Throne First?

Each faction is trying to crown their own Emperor in Cyrodiil.

How will you react?

If the new Emperor is one of your people, Or someone of another race.
If your faction crowns the new Emperor... or another faction crowned their own Emperor.

Would you allow the new Emperor to rule Tamriel?
Or will you do everything in your power to remove him or her?

What if Tamriel was to prosper under this new Emperor or if it brings even more instability?

For the Imperials where would your loyalties be?
To Cyrodiil and your people? or the Faction you belong to?

Between the Tharn family, the Deadra and the 3 alliances clashing, looks to me like the Imperials are in a bad way.

There will be hundreds of emperors.. one for each campaign.   So I would imagine there will be an emperor of your race somewheres.

The whole race reminds me of the south park wow episode. It's pretty hard to have any respect for someone when you can picture them shouting " mom bathroom! "

It's an aspect of the game that I have zero interest in.  If anything, I feel a certain amount of distaste for the people who have logged in so. much. time. to chase this carrot.  It is something that will only appeal to a very niche set of AvA guilds, and they will rotate the emporor so that more of them gain the special skill line so they can be even more competitive.  So, good for them in that regard in that chasing the Ruby Throne promotes AvA activity, but it is not even on my radar to give any attention to.

This is one feature I feel is really meaningless. The throne is going to cycle so often. As a role player I will be forced just to ignore it. It doesn't even make sense for the guy with the most kills to be emperor.

The best way to become famous is to kill someone famous. I expect emperors to be target number one on the battlefield.

I have taken a part on smaller community MMORPGs that instituted a hierarchy system properly in a variety of different ways. Perhaps Zenimax can make it more meaningful later down the line but as it stands it is a shallow pvp ranking mechanic.

I don't really care about this feature. The largest/heaviest PvP guild will win (or so I think) so the guild leader (likely?) will feel like a king. Joy. It will be nice for a buff and when I PvP I'll be doing it for the buff, not to crown anyone emperor whether I'm in a guild or not (likely not).

^ 4th sentence - He should be knighted or something to the ESO equivalent. Kings right hand man, a hero of the battlefield.

King should be obtained some other way. Completing and gaining rep with all towns, influences, something different.

On a more serious note, i think the Emperor should be crowned at the end of the 3 month long match and will stay until the current match is over.

This. The fact that the Emperor is nothing more than a rep grind means I'll never care about it. Zenimax needs to be very vigelient banning bots mark my words

I agree with the other people that it should be a knighting and the emperor title should go to the leader of your faction.

I have no desire to be the Emperor. This is for two reasons;

1. I have a 50+ hour per week job, a wife, two dogs and other hobbies. I don't have enough time.
2. Even though I love PvP, I'm really not that good at it. Actually, I kinda suck.

So, what will I do when an Emperor is crowned?

 

If he's part of my faction? /knee What is thy bidding my master?

 

If he's part of another faction? There he is! Kill him, Kill him with fire!

In the beta it didnt mean much to be emperor for what I could tell. You'll get overpowered for xx minutes and then the next emperor comes.
