ya big corporations dont get the Tax breaks its considerable less he gives at least 60 percent more then he needs for the tax breaks. big corporations arent allowed all the tax breaks simply because all the taxes they give account for more government income.

that is also why bushs tax breaks were weird because he gave everyone equal tax breaks.

I have to ask Aldaron, are you a constitutionalist? (BTW the most retarded party to ever grace this earth, and that is saying something when you have the Green party, let alone all the independents out there [can we say Perot])

It is obvious that you know nothing about american history, let alone the intentions of our forefathers. Too many times I hear people bring up the Federalist Papers like that means something. Hamilton and Madison would tell you themselves that they wrote that bunk as PR pieces mearly to drum up support for the constitution. In fact, the are called the Federalist Papers exactly because of their high praise of the proposed constitution (those against it were called anti-federalist) If you read your history the proposed idea of a constitution wasn't really all that well received, and would most likely have failed to be ratified if not for adding the bill of rights separately but at the same time as well as very popular people for their actions for independence pushing forward the idea. (those ten amendments strongly influenced by the ten commandments and is no coincidence they both number ten. Remember America was settled by religious fanatics).

If you think Hamilton (who was the major author of the constitution) had the foresight to see how this country would turn out then you need mental help. The only thing they new at the time was that there were certain rights that they wanted to ensure would continue, and they wanted a form of government (a very small government by the way, they didn't envision a large one) that would be able to stymie any ass-hat that came along and tried to take those rights away. Most of you reading this would probably not have had those rights at that time. When Hamilton wrote that all men were created equal, he meant MEN, not only that but he meant WHITE LAND OWNING MEN. It may have been more accident then intention that they created an evolving document, but I don't think so.

So you may choose to live your life by the strict orders of men from over 230 years ago who had just barely escaped getting their asses handed to them by the most amazing series of lucky events and so were both relieved yet still pissed. Me I think I will entrust my welfare if to anyone other then myself, then it will be to more modern men who actually have a clue as to what is going on right now.

If you still want to argue about this feel free to open a new post. It will do the public good to hear both sides. Because I hate to admit it, but we have gotten away from principals that founded this country. As to whether or not we should return to those principals is still up for debate. I'd suggest that you go about reading the source documents themselves, and not stuff you heard someone say they once read in a history book. And don't just read a few papers, but read letters, journals, etc that help you get the feel for what life was like at the time so that when you do read an important historical document you will be able to understand the intent with which it was written much better.

Crap I went on a rant and forgot the evidence. Read your Article 1 section 8 carefully. You don't even have to go very far. It is in clause 1. The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and GENERAL WELFARE of the United State. See that capitalized and underlined part? That is the very part of congresses power that allows them so much leeway in what they collect taxes for. Until such time as the supreme court decides that funding the education of the people is NOT within the general welfare of the United States then congress can and will continue to appropriate the moneys. (yes you got owned)
