Its just a comic ffs. Internet is full of comics for every MMO and comics have been poking fun at MMORPGS for over 10 years now.

Let me tell you what is a slippery slope...to threaten OP with a ban and to report him for something so silly.

Nope, I'm comparing what I view as a decent launch with what I view as an "overall mess".  You want a more recent example perhaps? Final Fantasy 14 ARR re-launch. THAT was an overall mess. A few bugged quests and dungeons don't register as an "overall mess" to me. Unless im unaware of some other gamebreaking bugs.

12 hours on down time on launch day

Thousands of paying customers unable to even access the game for days due to issues with keys

Serious game account security issues

Serious player accont security loopholes implemented BY DESIGN

Random rollbacks affecting multiple game zones

Embarrassing billing errors

Duping / botting rife

Gold sellers rampant from day 1

Players hitting max level in what, 17 hours

 

Those are just the most serious complaints I can recall off the top of my head. It has certainly NOT been a good launch...

Rofl...Did you just include things like Gold Sellers, Botting, Duping, Players hitting Max Level ect ect with reasons for a Bad Launch?

I may have to check if this is even possible but I think the most ardent defenders of this game , the ones who broach no flaw in it, might be suffering from Stockholm syndrome because the game is just good enough while still being basically abusive towards them (example: take the person calling duping and gold sellers from day one a non-issue, duping is a massive issue for a game out of alpha stage and gold sellers being around since day one implies that someone got their shit hacked or they were allowed to exist in the first place where most are botters as well so either the game has piss poor bot detection/security or the devs don't care).

Well if nothing is fixed since beta, which everyone hater or fan confirms, the strip is accurate ...

People hate cause they dont want to see bad games becomes famous and destroy a whole genre( WoW ? ) which they love and want to see investments in the direction they believe is better for their tastes. Thats why people hate cash grabs like ESO or SWtoR.
