So... without the game-ending, show-stopping bugs you would have been VR1 when? Last weekend? :)

I must just be lucky, because I have only encountered a couple of minor bugs through my leveling to 30.

OP, i have a question that i've been wanting to find out, now that you're veteran.

How do you rate the boosted mobs in comparasion to the normal mobs in pre-vr content? The idea of 50+ is to make the game harder, but simply giving them a stat power up. I can only imagine the mobs i faced in beta in the start areas to be more annoying than challenging by boosting them.

    But, that's why i'm asking.

I know I am not who you asked but if any veterans answer is acceptable:

The best comparsion I can make is 2 of the boosted mobs is about the same difficulty as I was having with 3 even level pre veteran in a single pull/combat.

Hope that helps in some way.

Nice, I'm still 46 on my main. 8 days now.

In the meantime my alts are coming along. lvl 23, 16, 11, 9

I was in a group for Darkshade Caverns yesterday and people were having loading screen issues. And it was unanimous, everyone felt that if the game itself wasn't so awesome, they'd never put up with the bugs. It's sad that the game has these issues, but it says a lot that people are willing to stick around.

I don't know, but I know for certain. I won't be leveling a second character in this game until I see a blanket fix for all of the issues I've had for this game.

Issues that get blown way out of proportion by the drama junkies...and yet, you, me, DMKano and thousands of others have made it into the VR ranks in ~ 2- 3 weeks?

Something is not quite jibing.... either the game is as unplayable as some say or it is very playable despite the bugs.

IDK...maybe I'm getting a warped perspective in my 200+ member guild since we only kick-out people for cheating, stealing or drama.... so far only 3 have gotten kicked out and only one of those was over drama.

    I think I'm playing a different game.

patch notes say its fixed with todays patch, so hopefully it will be cause its really annoying.
  • Tgiordano92Tgiordano92 Member UncommonPosts: 168

Apparently a lot of bugs including the said loading screen bug is being fixed today.

"During this maintenance, we will be pushing a new patch that includes a number of updates and fixes, including a fix to the loading screen issue that many of you have come across."

Well... keep your fingers crossed. This is not the first time that the loading screen bug has been "fixed."

On a different thread I saw a statement from one of the devs that linked loading times to anti-cheat/exploit code... so yeah, here's hoping.

i don't get it when ppl talk about the buggiest content ever, since blablabla is this because there is so many from the single player series or is it that the game got the whiniest of whiny crowd among the more elder fanbase?

i mean i get it that there are bugs, some dupe problems along the way etc. i cannot remember a mmo without such problems around launch or even after.

yet i am 27 atm and encountered a single bug/broken quest that hindered my gameplay experience for a minutes before i just left it a lone for a WHOLE DAY to come back and find it fixed hm. even so the buddies in my guild, sure some encountered the bank bug, or the dupe bug but none is even talking about the sooo buggy content as 99% just enjoy the game, being 50 already as well.

so why is it that a game that basically has in my opinion one of the smoothest launches among mmo's with most of it's content there and working being flamed for being the buggiest one ? ^^

GRATS! Im only lvl 45, hope to make vet this week. Doing a heck of a lot of crafting too. Im loving the game.Just wondering if you craft, or is it not worth it at vet?

I have Prorvisioning at 50, with the green, and blue sweetroll recipes already.Clothing at 35, and woodwork at 30.

The only thing about the craft so far is I can make white to grind. Is there anything I should be worried about with crafting. I have many many skill points locked into craft and just got Vampire!

I feel bad for a lot of the people taking their time enjoying the scenes. I've noticed that a lot of quests(rides) tend to breakdown when they get over used. Majority of the levelers from day one only encountered a few hiccups here and there(we were lucky) Although, it is nice to see them actively fixing some of the quests. I can finally go back to the vr5 zone today and finish the bangkorai quest that's been sitting in my log for a week.  Don't forget OP you got to go for the top! Vr10 is the current ceiling til craglorn comes out, then it gets raised all over again.

When people say unplayable means the bugs stopping progression through questing. I think you know what they mean and you are just being clever.

Luckily mobs grinding give good XP and respawns are very fast. I ran into many bugged quests at lvl 27 so i decided to grind my way to lvl 30 in no time and i plan to do the same on later levels if i hit the wall in terms of quests progression.

Not everyone is hardcore though so even for those who are grinding mobs due to bugged out quests are going to level slower in comparison to those who do nothing but play ESO 10+ hours a day. Bugs like falling through floors and slow loading screen do slow down the progression but not that much, so if you didn't face those problems good for you.

You should never judge the leveling speed of a MMO on basis of players who have that much free time on their hands.

Smoothes launches, your joking right? I love this game but its a bug ridden mess to say the least. I have played every mmo released in the past 10 years and this one has been one of the worst launches ive experienced in that time. I still love it but lets get serious.

Grats on the V bug. I was a WW for a while but found it underwhelming... the V's Mist Form, OTOH, is an awesome PVP ability.

I'm an enchanter and only at rank 23 so far - those damn round aspect runes are a pain to have enough of. Some crafts are definitely easier than others to level - enchanting isn't one of those.

Well you're lucky, I face constant load screen issues, locked movement, locked hot-keys, weapon swapping not working, countless quests not working, auto dismount issues, falling through the world, knocking back people with my bow causes me to be sent into a load screen randomly, jumping over logs can cause me to be launched into the sky, forward camps bugged, siege equipment bugged, werewolf ultimate resets, stuck as detected when stealthing, severe network I/O issues, severe memory leaks, bank space being deleted, items being deleted, gold being deleted, alliance points being deleted, guild tab not working, partying causes disconnects, and stuck in combat. You think I'm whining for little to no reason?

    Exactly what he said.

Well the content is some what harder for now. Mainly because I have yet to find a new bow to boost me into veteran 1-2 damage. However, I'm still able to 2-3 shot things while I'm dual wielding. Bosses are significantly more dangerous in veteran mode which requires you to actually stun lock and interrupt them. The veteran dungeons are easy. In fact they're really really easy and with some decent coordination they're able to be completed with no problems.

We'll have to wait for the adventure zone(s) to come out to truly gauge how hard content is going to be in terms of the PvE aspect because they're suppose to be the end all be all.

Thanks for the answer and Thourne too.

I was worried that mobs would take forever to kill in vr and would 1-2 shot you. It'd turn the game into a massive grind imo.

The issue is that i found mobs to be simplistic in beta, like all mmos, and mostly just kitted or charged at you. Some variation here and there, but mostly that and some "red area" aoe attacks.

The kind off power-up you guys talk about seems like it would still leave the game enjoyable and add a small boost of danger.
