Why should I want the console version to be the best it can be when the PC version (the platform of my preference) seems to be so terribly put together? Why should I want the game that has taken the name of one of my beloved rpg franchises and turned it into some sort of bastardized DaoC clone with a pseudo Elder Scrolls skin, couple new tricks (that don't seem to be working), a leveling system I'm still not sure they thought through, and a PvP system where for some odd reason, you can only engage in a certain area of the map, despite the fact that to finish the "leveling" process, you must visit the other factions "zones"
I so wanted this game to be great, I wanted to finally have a game that I could say "This is my new fantasy MMO, I have officially left WoW for this game." Some might say that it's unfair to compare a game that has been out for 10 years to a new launch. I would say, you're right, it is unfair. It's unfair that a game that came out 10 years ago still stands the test of time against what can be done with the new technology we have today. It's unfair to the gamers that this new game coming out in 2014 can't even get grouping to work right. It's unfair that a game coming out in 2014 can't figure out how to prevent item duping, it's unfair that a game coming out in 2014 has to hit it's players with a paywall to get access to all the races in the game on day 1, not new races introduced in an x-pac, but a race available at launch, but only if you buy into it. The list goes on, and yes, it's unfair that there is a list that goes on too :P.
On second thought, let the console gamers have this one, cause as it stands right now, I don't want to sully my machine with this "Elder Scrolls" game, I'll stick to Skyrim for now.
Gods I just hope they don't screw up the next Fallout....and I hope this game doesn't mean there won't be another single player ES game...that would piss me off.

Don't worry, Zenimax have never, and probably never will be involved in making the single player games. Though they (Bethesda) might be under pressure to release another one ASP, i wonder if Bethesda are considering buying themselves out of Zenimax media, they must be hurting for cash right about now all things considered
This game needs to pull a FFXIV and re-launch when it gets some solid design choices behind it. It has to follow in the footsteps of Skyrim, because that's what gamers are expecting from an Elder Scrolls game. Instead, we were given a very archaic grind-fest with some good story writing and voiceover content.
If I had to choose how to redesign the game, here is what I would do in order to make the game feel more like Elder Scrolls:
1. Make character levels meaningless, aside from gear requirements and quest level requirements. Every enemy should always scale to the level of the attacker or the person attacking. Multiple people attacking? Each person's scaling is calculated individually. It isn't as complex as it sounds. It is only math.
2. Tie zone progression to the main story, which still has level requirements. Put NPC guards, rockslides, and other obstacles at zone borders which disappear for the player when they complete the necessary story quest.
3. Make everything feel more rewarding. Complete a quest to retrieve a rare soul gem? Skill in Enchanting is increased. Complete a dungeon? Get a choice of loot so you are sure to find something you can use.
4. Double or triple experience rewarded for everything. Skyrim had a ton of freedom involved. ESO restricts players at every turn with level requirements and forces players to do every single quest in the game. Let the game feel more like an adventure than a grind for XP.
I don't see it getting better by the time they launch for consoles. The first rule of marketing is to never admit your faults. Very few companies are willing to do so, and take the drastic measures needed to correct their bad choices.

Buying out of Zenimax would be (in my opinion) the best thing for the company right now. *Sigh* I just so wanted this game to be great, and I am glad that my beta experience with it and the fact that I have been burned by MMO launches before told me to hold off. With each passing announcement, and then the first month of debacles, I am glad I did, as well as sad that I had to.
I hope you're right, I hope that ZOS has nothing to do with any of the future single player games from Bethesda. I would say that it would be cool to have them put in a multiplayer aspect to future games, but they couldn't even get grouping right in an MMO, I would be scared to see how they tried to implement it in the Fallout, and future ES installments.

Scaling makes games completely boring to me, as there will be no enemy's to look forward to killing because you alway's have a change.
Already so much to do ingame not sure why you want your number 2
We do get certain special rewards, some quests even give skill points.
I truly dislike double/triple xp or these so-called XP weekends, they make me not want to play. The game is a adventure for me because of my playstyle, I truly dislike games that you need to grind for XP in ESO I am happy not to grind but be the more explorer type. And as alway's it all depends on people's own playstyle, which is the most common cause why people just take the easy road and blame a game instead of their own playstyle.
But don't worry, the way you people seem willing to complain makes it sure in the future our MMO genre will become even more easy and limited.

I love this game, really enjoying it so far. I think they should decrease vet grind. Maybe make you do ONE additional campaign, not two. OR They should increase xp in dungeons.
Also, being able to decrease your level to play with friends, or play cross faction with real friends would be a HUGE bonus.
Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
There are not much that can be done now. Considering that major problem is the community and the lack of mmo feeling, what they can possibly do about it ?
here are a few thoughts :
-increase xp so that 1 to vet10 can be achieved only from questing to one alliance territory (wanna quest all sides ? make a f***ing alt)
-auction house asap
-fix guild bank problems and show guilds some love
-fix grouping tools
-improve ui (this is not a single player rpg, go play skyrim if u only want to see you character on the screen)
-release raids asap
-hire a few employees and upgrade support
-stop ignoring ppl on forums
-open pvp areas besides cyridiil will be appreciated (zerging in not pvp)

This game is done unless it goes f2p.
That is the only way I ever revisit it again.
