Bugger! Missed it. I really want to get a ranged type instead of all the melee fisticuff types.

I am apparently hated by infinity shards, only have half of what I need to buy a new hero.

Maybe there'll be another set of keys if we're lucky.

Lost my mind, now trying to lose yours...

Bah, I guess I really am officially old after turning 40 a few weeks ago.  I don't do any of that social media hot garbage.

Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?

Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

I got Doctor Strange in mine and I must say he is much different than any other ARPG character I've played. He reminds me of BC/early wrath Enhancement shaman where you have a multi-different-cooldown rotation with priority depending on number of targets/type of mob/position. Can't wait for the AA system and raids next week!

    Thoughs On Storm:

I like how she plays. It takes thought and positioning for tougher mobs and I like how the different build approaches can work together for interesting hybrid tactics. Her approach definitely doesn't seem button mash faceroll, but she's also not overly complicated and gimmicky. This was a great recommendation so thanks! I'm looking forward leveling her and see how she matures.

    Next Hero:

I'll try out wolverine, but the comments on Ms. Marvel have me interested so I might plop down $10 and unlock her. That will give me two different types of characters to play. If wolverine ends up being really fun, then I'll wait a while to unlock Marvel and just buy a costume for him. I like the jeans and t-shirt costume. I always liked Logan in his non-uniformed more natural look than in a get-up. He seems way too gritty, to me, to put on patterned color coordinated spandex. That's just me.

    Game Play:

Overall I like the gameplay. Any arpg takes practice so I need to get a lot more practice and experience in before I make comments about what I really feel the strengths and weaknesses of the interface is. First impression says that targeting and positional aoe attacks feel a little loose. The skill activation through a keyboard feels a bit wonky because it's different than some other arpgs I play. In my opinion this game would rock with a controller.

The game doesn't do a great job at explaining everything. For example, drops. Are drops mine exclusively? Are they shared, free for all or what? I've picked stuff up and seen people pick things up that don't look like they belong to the attacker. I'm going to try and figure that out today.

Also the grouping for the story is confusing. I was doing the prologue and found I was auto-grouped with someone, but they weren't even in the instance and for some reason Green Goblin wouldn't spawn. I left the instance and party and reentered to fight GG and found I was auto-paired with another. I didn't really like that. Sometimes I like to farm alone and sometimes I like to group. I'll work on figuring that part out too.

So, in all, the play is a lot of fun. I like the game and the heroes. The game could do a better job explaining mechanics and social interaction. I'm glad I tried it and thanks again for the recommendation. Storm is cool.

Drops are instanced to you, yes. I thought they turned auto-grouping off by default, odd. You can set auto grouping to off in your options (and I recommend it).

This is a problem specific to the first dungeon / instance / whatever. If you have auto-group turned on (which I think it is by default), people will join your instance and snipe Green Goblin, the last boss. Then you may do the same to some other poor fool. Auto-join players 90% of the time will rush to the boss in all dungeons, but the first dungeon has multiple waypoints so you can't even see it happen there.

Best just to turn off auto-join and play it as a single player game until you get to Loki (or Dr Doom, if you're weak against him), and later the one-shots and raids.
