I don't rally care about consoles however, i think that i read somewhere that the PS4 is available in more countries than the Xbox is, quite more actually. Why would Microsoft handicap herself in such a way is beyond me.
Anyway, last week i finished building my new pc and without being arrogant i can say that it wipes the floor with both consoles.
It wont make much of a difference. Remember, when the PS4 came out in November. It was only available in US & CA, and it sold 1 million units in 24 hours. Likewise, the Xbox One sold 1 million units in 13 markets within 24 hours of release.
you mean like removing the Kinnect device and selling the things at a loss to try and shift more of them, well, you might be right
Correct me if i am wrong but it sounds more like you trying to justify betting on the wrong horse by buying a XBOX ONE.

None of the PS4 owners have to justify anything since it's clearly the better console in hardware, software and installation base. It's hard to not see the facts and be impressed.

I don't own a PS4 or XBOX ONE but if someone would throw 400 euro at me i would without hesitation buy a PS4 just for the 10 million installation base alone.
The funny thing though, is that the XB1 is the less capable machine compared to the PS4 despite it initially costing quite a bit more, and even though they reduced the cost of the thing now, by ditching a significant piece of hardware, they are also making a loss on the things, even so, it is still a much less capable machine than the PS4, something that is hard to brush away no matter how much positive spin Microsoft try to put on it, i still wouldn't buy a PS4 though because i prefer the PC, if there is one thing that hasn't changed, is that the average PC is far more capable than any of the consoles, and is the primary reason i didn't buy into the 360 or the PS3 either
A ton of xbox people haven't decided to buy the xbox yet because of the kinect and the fact it didn't have any good Launch games..
Kinect is now gone or going away and the Halo collection is coming back If the halo collection is just like the original halo's game with just new graphics Then i see a massive jump in sales for the xbox. I do like the ps4 for its rpgs and such but its just not a competetive console to me. Would buy bough if i had the cash but i only must buy 1 And because of halo its gonna be dat der xbox
True, the PS4 was sold in over 30 territories, whereas the XB1 only in 11? for the launch 2013. Thing is though....

PS4 sold 1 Mill. within 24h in America and UK
Microsoft needed 11 countries to sell 1mill. XB1
PS4 outsold the XB1 in those markets that M$ gives a fuck about it, like USA and UK
PS4 outsold the XB1 in said markets even when Microsoft dropped the Price for the XB1 to $399
PS4 outsold the XB1 in said markets even when Microsoft announced a TitanFall Bundle for $399
..... it´s outselling the XB1 everywhere since Launch, one moment around x-mas the PS4 reached a whopping 15 : 1 ratio for a week. Besides, everyone who did not had the chance to get one (due microsoft not giving a fuck), have porbably imported it from the UK or Germany already.

Microsoft sold 3.3 mill. XB1 early 2014, the extra countries wont make a change, we do not know the contigent yet, how many XB1 M4 has planned for the Sept. launch.
As Destiny is a PS3/Xbox 360 game that is also on the PS4/XB1, i would not expect either 'next gen' console to struggle with it, would be rather embarrassing after all if either one was to struggle to run the things after all.
Only... it has been confirmed that Destiny would run natively on the PS4 at 1080p, but, that it wouldn't on the XB1 although they have stated that their goal is for the XB1 to be able to run the game at 1080 in time for launch

A great many XB360 gamers haven't made the upgrade yet - they've been waiting for games worth upgrading for.
I truly think the XB1 releasing in many more markets in September, coupled with the new white model, the great bundles for Sunset Overdrive, Madden, and now the new CoD bundle will move a LOT of units.
Oh, and Master Chief Collection with Halo 5 beta, not to mention some great multi-platform titles with exclusive XB1 content or "first to" content.... like AC5: Unity, CoD, Evolve, Forza H: 2 etc.
I don't think XB1 will quite catch up, but they'll generate a LOT of sales this holiday season.
And we all know MS > Sony conference at E3 and Gamescom just yesterday.
Quantum Break > the hopefully "joke" that was the MGS5 "Box" gameplay...
Less capable, as in inferior hardware spec's which is as it happens a well documented fact, something to do with the PS4 having a superior GPU and better RAM than the XB1 does (hint, more bandwidth is better than less!) its not even worth arguing about because you would have to be blinkered not to know this. But as for losses, both MS and Sony had been losing money hand over fist, the difference is, that Sony or at least the department that the PS4 is part of, were showing a profit, how much money either company had been losing is something that isn't that easy to quantify, MS especially because of how convoluted the companies finances are, and as i said, how much they are losing on the XB1 is something that is hotly contested, and without more data from MS about actual sales rather than units shipped to retail, then guesstimates are all we have, maybe Superdata can give us some 'guesstimates' on that too
well i don't follow gamerana website so thats probably why, hopefully they have managed to do so without having to resort to the somewhat ridiculous methods of reducing the framerate to just 30fps now that would be bad would it not

This whole discussion is nuts. If most of your friends you play with are on Microsoft then that is the best system for a gamer. If Sony then that system is. That's about the end of what really matters. Who you like to play with and where you are set up.
The rest matters not at all to the majority of people out there i would think.
I would agree about the thread except it is more like a discussion and there is one troll in the mix. The thing about gaming in general, to me, is that I am all for multiple platforms of gaming but I hate when they do ports because it rarely works out IMO. I wish they would make them specifically for PC or console X and just leave it at that instead of trying to appease whichever group did not get whichever product but did not want to buy whichever platform.

I'm not part of this war as I don't have any of the 2 consoles nor do I intend to get one of them.
But as someone standing outside of this "debate" only the person constantly screaming "desperate" comes across as desperate to me...
I get that you really like the XB1, but, that doesnt change the fact that it is a less capable machine than the PS4 is, that you think that is somehow a lie can only mean you are either so far in denial that you can't see it, or you just don't understand what the differences in the hardware are in practical terms, personally i am really not that much of a fan of the PS4, both consoles have imo at least, chosen to use hardware that is 'questionable' their choice of processors is positively bizarre, i mean, 8 core, fine, but 1.6ghz processors.. how daft is that, but okay they can make up for it a bit by having a decent GPU as they are strictly games machines at the end of the day, the difference however there is that the GPU in the PS4 is a newer generation than the one in the XB1, which is further offset by the fact that the GPU in the XB1 does not have access to Gddr5 Ram, the bandwidth of which is the primary reason why the PS4 is able to run games natively in 1080, and without getting into the whole my ram is better than your ram argument, its worth pointing out that DDR3 is only used for system memory these days, that its being used, even if its in conjunction with a very small amount of Esram, is probably a decision that will haunt Microsoft for years, pretty sure they won't make that mistake again, hopefully when it comes to making an XB2 they will overcome this 'oversight' with the proper spec'd Ram, sure enough the XB1 could use some, if it had been fitted with better Ram then MS wouldn't have had to try and overclock the GPU in order to try and make up some of the difference - it didn't.
Why the hell do you care, enjoy your console and move on. Trying to get a rise out of people is pathetic..
