Intense hate at Trion for all land being claimed first day, server queues, weird username/password breaks, founder pack bugs.... While I know gamers are crazy, some of it seems pretty warranted from what I can see and experienced.
No word from Trion on many of the major issues. Big ol' womp fest.

I thought I'd try this game... I'm hoping to find a replacement for Vanguard.
I took me several hours yesterday just to buy the game. I tried to register and that timed out. When I did get registered it said my password was wrong, which it wasn't. When I tried to reset my password, that timed out.
When I tried to purchase the game, it said purchase failed for a few hours.
Now that it's finally installed it says authentication failed.....
ugh....
Authentication server is borked, lots of rage on the forums though. It's possible Trion could add a day of patron status or some nice gifts for the issues; they've done that before in Rift.
Guess we just wait it out.

Asking premium prizes for their product, and not delivering premium service... yeah they deserve the shit they're getting. It could have been worse, people who have played MMO's before know that. But asking the highest prize ever for a founder's pack (without physical items), puts pressure on the company, and they fell flat.
This was always going to happen....that is why so many games now a days do instance housing.
It happened in UO...it'll happen in any other game that has open plots.
Nope, they started they are adding new servers for launch day, these are just the head start servers and there is still land available even on the head start servers just not prime spots. Lots of people are butthurt because they didn't get the spot they have been dreaming about since alpha and they are not willing to travel to get land.
It didn't happen in SWG......so what's the point of me playing this?

This is not "entirely" accurate. Most plots, if not all will be taken up (almost gone already) by the time launch gets here, however, whats involved in keeping a house before it goes public/destoyed and the house/plot is available again requires constant maint. from a patron player and taxes can not be payed in advance (unless that changed, but I dont think it has)
So houses and plots that are taken now, will go vacant and plots available again within weeks as players that are very active today, get board and move on to the next game or just let their sub exp. This will go on and on.

I'm no fan of doom and gloom, so that aside, I do have to wonder what's more important, "preventing a flooded market" or players being able to experience a game how they like to play.

Hit the nail on the head when it comes down to issues of housing. I found plot for my garden and home on my first try and i played later in the day. I've seen lots of spots that were open and free.
I agree that Trion should have given better service for head start players. I payed my $150 but to expect perfection from any company is ridiculous to anticipate. I don't care if it was Apple or Microsoft to Sony or Bioware and etc.. they'll make broken products that won't suit everyone's needs. So, I think everyone that are upset, need to take that sharp stick out of their posterior and relax. This was expected for people that played mmo's for most of their conscious existence. If you didn't know, welcome to the online world.

Nope, just as some say, it's the "prime" land that's gone. Trion isn't going to design a game where land gets eaten up and no longer available. Anyone who does that would be shooting emselve's in the foot since it will cause a huge barrier for newcomers. People are just raging because things aren't going their way. Land is available, maybe not the prime land you wanted but its available.
The forum rage is not entirely without reason.
The servers have been extremely stressed, with 2K queues being quite common. However, Trion implemented a two-tier queue system for the first time yesterday (wtf were they thinking ?). It went badly wrong. The system was randomly assigning players to the "General" queue, and others to the "Patron" queue, which is a fast-track queue for subscribers. Everyone in Early Access is a subscriber, so you can imagine the frustration that ensued as the "General" queue got longer and longer, whilst the Patron queue stayed the same size.
The whole purpose of buying Early Access in AA id heavily influenced by the fact that getting in early to grab a piece of the limited land supply is vital. If the system delays your login in favour of other players because of a bug in the software, you can forget about competing for a specific spot. To be able to compete, you have to be able to login at least.
The digital goodies that come with the pre-order packs are mostly geared toward helping you in your early levels. A large number of people haven't received those items yet, and it's 24 hours since the start of EA. Those that did receive their packs have enjoyed a considerable advantage in the land race.
Most of the glitches that Archeage is experiencing are not unique or unprecedented in MMO launch history. However, due to the persistent housing mechanics and limited building space, these issues become major problems.
Trion didnt design anything!
People are fooling themselves if they think that getting land will be any easier later on when there are more players. There was hardly any land available in the alpha with far less players. And the problem is Trion just cant create more housing areas because they are not developing the game so XL will have to do something and I doubt they will.
True, but thunk a lot of people don't see it the same because the game has already launched, twice. Just my guess
yupp, Trion/XL literally sold land plots for $150. Didnt buy one? dont expect to own a land in the game.
So much misinformation...1)The 50$ pack is the same as the 150$ one, second Trion sold PRIME LAND. Stop saying you can't get land. Well if you smell roses while getting to 50, then realize at 50 that you have enough gilda stars for a house, I ask you; why did you even bother paying.
If everyone was really so hardcore pvp in archeage it stands to reason the non pvp plots would be taken last. Sad for a non pvp guy like me but oh well. Life goes on.
