Most reviews on this site are within one point of a 7. I think it is ridiculous when games like STO and MO which were all universally reviewed as terrible scored a 6.something on this site. There is no way this game is as bad as those steaming piles.

I'll have to ask one of very numerous players on both of the servers I play on why AA is "bombing"?....I won't bother with the many waiting in the remaining supposed queues that are apparently still a problem .I guess the queuers are unaware that the game will likely close up shop just after they spawn-in.

The queues could also possibly be a result of there being too few servers at launch. In fact, considering the large region this version of Archeage covers and the fact that the amount of servers were like, half or less than what the other regions opened up with, I'd say that possibility is actually very VERY high...
Even post-honeymoon Wildstar LOOKS kinda active and successful if you're playing on one of the two servers that everyone transferred to... (although admittedly ,in this case, the fact that it only kinda looks active and successful is especially bad, but you get my point, I hope)
I was being sarcastic. I like and play the game. Queues are fine for founders..at least when I login. I truly have no idea for F2Pers.
I was one of the furious ones last week. Even thought to ask for my money back but reconsidered. They fixed it though (at least for me). Pretty quickly imo. So I missed a weekend and a few weeknights of game play. Woo.
It is a shame of Trion's lack of foresight on server requirements for launch. Perhaps it was the massive smack-talking against the game that led them to believe they'd only grab mostly founders and a few F2Pers who openly express satisfaction with the game. There were enough supporters that this should not be the case.
Maybe they lacked faith in the product.
Maybe they had no control over some of it due to XL Games or whatever they're called.
All I know is I was there for the RIFT and Defiance launch and both, in my experience, were 2 of the smoothest launches I've played. I played RIFT for a few years and still jump into Defiance from time to time (though that will lessen more so when Destiny comes to PC whenever)
I am saddened by Wildstar not being bigger than it is at this time. I think it's a fun and charming game and I will probably play it again at some point..if it is still available to do so.
By winners you mean the people who paid the most.... As far as the ingame thing, I dont even know what your talking about lol. The pvp in the game doesnt even have any risks to it. This game is a themepark lol, a really bad designed one.
Hard to argue with someone that hasn't played the game ....

I think a score of 6 is too generous for this game.
The only thing wrong with this game is there are obvious winners and losers .....unlike the past 12 years of regular themepark junk where 40 people play Simon Say's in a bunch of gated dungeons , and if you can't even play Simon Say's right 6 months down the road the contentment will be given to you anyways . In AA the game spirals straight up and those that fall of are dropped behind forever, sorry I do understand why the PVE seagulls fear a game like this but in reality they have games like Wildstar , WoW and donkey kong to play .
Well good for you. But for majority of us we don't need to identify our pride or ego with video games. Whenever i read posts like yours to me it seems that people like you play games like these to fit in with a status quo rather than to actually 'play the game'.
If only i had nickle for every time a pseudo hardcore made post like this i would be millionaire by now.

Its obvious that game was underrated.. there is one such thing called "underrated" and it kills your

As we see the ratings have gone up to 6.9.. and still moving up.. the first ratings where obviously because of the long queue
The thread maker is correct.. 6.6 is a low rating for a big game like archeage.. by the end of this year..

But hey, the flight pvp were broken, it still is.
And rather tan fixing it, they just gave up on the entire thing.
Ever since 2.0, every map had only a few zones where you could actually fly, and those zones are aether gathering zones.
And since everyone glides with the same speed, wings are no more than some nice skins.
so are the gliders. u can craft one of the best gliders at level 20 (on par with marketplace gliders)
if u wanna know itself, google arche age gliders and compare the stats.
lets leave the MMO section for a second and remember Far Cry(release date: 2004 (CryEngine1)). this game invented the glider first. its not a "super special unique thing" Arche Age claims to be.
i dont know how peeps can be so disillisioned to think Arche Age offers so much NEW stuff. this might be offtopic but im 30 years old and i saw lotsa MMO's. Even as pre-order or "Founder" or whatever they wanna call it nowadays. btw the "queue times" has nothing to do with the game itself, so every rating based on queue times is just inaccurate.

Sub based only AA was an 8 perhaps and 8.5 but after the F2P conversion a 6.6 is generous, very generous. The soul has been cut from this game and added in F2P trash on top of it.

Yep, it's all semantic nonsense. The point still stands that in huge swathes of territory among many different types of people in large chunks of the world, Archeage failed, and I see nothing it's doing differently in the western regions or anything particularly different about most western tastes that would make things any different there in the long run.
