I don't think any kind of addiction is funny.  It just seemed like a troll because he said, "He couldn't see the conection but when I explained the remoresless amount of similair quests in the game he then told me to immmediately stop playing" . it sounds totally contrived.  But, if anyone out there is addicted I wish them luck and they should probably start by removing whatever game they play off their computer.  Games are an easy escape from real world responsibilities but in the end they're just stupid games and they mean nothing next to family, friends, and womenz.  Now I'm off to pwn some noobs in DOTAimage

Good to see you're getting away from WoW for a while, I had a similar issue when I played CoH. I used to come home from work, and just play until I had to go to work again. It felt as if that was my life, just make money and go home and play a game. I almost started feeling like there was nothing else to life besides this game and money. I'm glad I quit playing CoH.

Chances are you are just flaming the game, but anywho even if you are perhaps it will tell others to get off their lazy ass.

Interesting post, I am also not sure if this was sarcasm as the original author was not clear or funny enough to let us know.

I had this feeling in EQ as well, quit and never looked back. Got it now in WoW and moved on to saga of ryzom.

When you get that "man I HAVE to log in feeling" its time to go somewhere else imo. Your health is not worth a game.

You have the new fad disease called gameholism. All of the cool movie stars are getting it!!!

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem...

iono, i used to sit infront of a screen for 10 to 12 hrs a day and i never got depressed and was always enjoying my gameimage but i love playing at night, when every one is asleep and no one is bothering you do this and that image

Exactly right hazam I really do enjoy it when people are asleep and i can relax and play on a computer in peace, I to go on the computer for a crazy amount of time and still have never been depressed, just angry sometimes. i knew that there were some crazy people in this world but this dude who thinks that playing computer games gets you depressed wins out of all of them image. and by the way does Rhianna Deroy remind you of anyone in WOW?

Actually WoW helps me a lot when I am having a crappy day so I think it is quite the opposite. It can get addicting so you need to watch for that, but as long as you can stop playing for awhile if you need to do something I see no problems in playing a lot. ::::20::

Actually, have you ever heard about more suicides in the Winter time than in Summer? Lack of sunlight can cause depression. Guess you don't think before you post, eh? ::::02::

But, before everyone thinks I'm the kind of guy that gets depressed without videogames for defending the poster...
Yeah, I think it's a good thing you quit playing if you felt depressed over it. I dont mean this harshly, as it will sound, but you really need to focus on hanging out with your friends, doing activities outside and things like that. If you think a videogame is making you addicted to it, you really need to stop.

Also, the reason sunlight does cause depression, as do videogames, it's because you dont focus your eyes on the sun for long periods of time (or hopefully at all) and the sun doesnt display colors on opposite ends of the spectrum that flash and wiggle before your eyes.

It's the electromagnetic radiation coming from your monitor and your computer. It's known to cause health problems, EM radiation I mean.

Some say you can even get addicted to getting doses of it (from the computer).

Look it up, and don't forget to put on your tinfoil hat first, they help.

Either you play to many hours OR you where doing activities you dislike(aka raiding) because you enjoy another part so much and want to progress in it(like wanting to become a better grouper, so you raid even if you dislike raiding).

I see that happen a lot, especially in the ranks of the uberguilds.
