All I found there was a bunch of propaganda and shiny pictures. If you don't have an answer, don't bother posting.
Agressive and rude. Great way to get info.

I have better things to do than sift through millions of forum posts, web pages with out-of-date information, or an ad-revenue-based site like WoWhead that doesn't organize anything.

I find it only takes a small amount of effort to share useful information instead of making a useless post, expecting someone who has been out-of-touch with the game to magically know what is relevant, important, or useful information when sorting through a metric crapton of it.
Ah, you mean the kind of effort you are not ready to make, right? Because we don't have better things to do that to sift through millions of forum posts just to provide your majesty with easy to read information.
Is this thread a joke?
I almost reported you on this one, it feels more like a personal attack against the OP... I hgighly disagree with you on this one.
If someone wants to gather information by asking questions in a Forum, that is a totally valid way of doing so, there is no reason to attack someone for doing so, all his reactions where in defence of him asking a totally legal question and others attacking him for asking so.
So there is a point in only answering in a thread if you have to add anything usefull....
So here is my short answer OP... what is new in WoD
- New zones, with some great Quests and even some Scenarios
- New Dungeons
- New Scenarios
- New raids (only 2)
- New lore, we are going back in time, and enter a spectacular Horde area... The Iron Legion
- Garissons, which is Blizzards form of housing, and even tight to a PvP setting...
- New large PvP zone
- tanks got less defensive reactionals
- healers got less instant cast spells, healing is less rotation based and more reactive
- CC got tuned down, and a lot of CC got removed from the game
- Dungeons and combat got even more interactive
- Challenge is bigger
- treasure hunts
- No more flying mounts in Outland
and much much more

WOD is not a stand alone. You need the others. If you do not buy your game basically stops at 90. You can not use the portal or see the stuff from the expansion.
What I'd like to know is what do you get ONLY if you buy the WOD expansion?
I know you get a level 90 boost, but what won't you have access to if you do NOT buy the expansion?
Lets' put it this way, lets say for arguments sake that they still sold each expansion separately... say you only have classic WoW (1-60 content)... fast forward to Thursday of this week... you log in to WoW to find yourself utterly alone. Everyone is going to be on the other side of the portal. When they are not, they will be in their own private instanced garrison. When they are not, they will likely be in another instanced BG, dungeon, or Raid... of which you will never have access to. You might see them near the AH from time to time... assuming you can't tap into that from a garrison add-on.
TBC came out... everyone went to Outlands, the rest was abandoned.
WotLK came out... everyone went to Northrend, the rest was abandoned.
Cata came out... everyone went to the new zones, the rest was abandoned.
MoP came out... everyone went to Pandaria, the rest was abandoned.
WoD comes out... everyone will head to the new Outlands, the rest will be abandoned.

So basically, you lose all the players.
