I have to agree with you, there are soo many professions, if you get tired of being a BH be a commando or swordsman. All you have to do is set goals and the game doesn't ever have to end. And what could possibly be cooler then being a Jedi

Character creation is the best out there. Massively customizable. Variety of things to do. No other game except UO compares with the versatility of a single character. Player Housing: 2nd Best available (Best being UO, imo, some would reverse that and place SWG 1st) Has 3D "twitch" 1st (or 2nd) person Spaceflight combat. Via Mouse, Keyboard and/or Joystick. Depth: You get out of SWG what you put into it. If you expect a game to hand-hold you and force-feed you with things to do, go play EQII or WOW. SWG gives you the environment to play in and there are lots of things to do if YOU choose to. It doesn't force you down any particular path. Immersiveness, especially post CU: Pre CU SWG felt like Star Wars on top of a Fantasy RPG with a different type of combat system. Now it feels like Star Wars, period. Bringing a Knife to a Gunfight is generally a bad idea now, it was the opposite pre-CU. You come running at me and I'm going to 1st shoot your leg and stop your sorry but then knock your ass over then kill you. You may actually reach me but by then it'll be way too late, especially if you're alone even if I'm not wearing my assault armor. Content: SWG has gobs and gobs and gobs of content. High end, low end, you name it it's out there. Some of it is currently bugged due to the CU messing it up but once they finish fixing all the crap that broke it'll be 1st rate again. Graphics: NO other game, none, has better graphics. EQ2 has some nice features but SWG's graphics are better. WoW has nice graphics but they come across way too cartoony. SWG's graphics are highly detailed, extremely versatile, very well choreographed for movement and the most customizeable of any I have ever seen. I have yet to see two players who look identical unless they just happen to be wearing the same exact set of armor. And even then the color varieties are amazing. SWG's graphics also are extremely well done for look/feel of the game. When you play SWG t here is no doubt in your mind that you're in the Star Wars universe. None whatsoever.
I played UO for 2 years straight then on/off until last year. I played EQ for 2 years straight then on/off as I tried other games till last year. Last year I picked up SWG. I only took a break from it to try out WOW BETA and came right back in terror of that craptastic game then tried EQ2 and was equally dissapointed and came back. Today, IMO, SWG is the single best and most varied MMO on the market. It's easily the most fun, hands down. It's the only one that I have found that certain special 'something' that both UO and EQ had in their prime. Whatever that 'something' is that makes you keep coming back to a game SWG definitely has it. It's also got one of the best graphics engines available right now if you've got the rig to run it tweaked out. It's better than EQ2 and WOW in many ways even though both of those are much newer games. I'm not a fanboi, I agree that there are MANY gameplay bugs that need to be fixed Post CU but I have faith that they'll get them fixed. I've been playing MMO's so long that bugs bother me but I try not to judge based on them unless a given game company has given me reason to think they won't fix bugs. SOE has never given me real reason to think they'll ignore bugs any more than any other company out there. Sure the haters will tell you that bugs never get fixed (they told everyone the same thing about EQ). And yeah, the haters will say things like "SWG will be gone in 1/2/3 years" Guess what, the haters 2 years ago said the same thing about SWG then. "It'll be gone next year". Matter of fact the Haters of UO said it would be gone 7 years ago... it's still out there with hundreds of thousands of players (go fig). Haters of EQ said it would die when AC came out, then when DAOC came out then when AO came out then when E&B and EVE came out.... it's still out there... with over 400,000 subscriptions. SWG is, and will continue to, doing just fine. New players are out in droves right now. I do hope SWG fixes the current crop of CU related bugs asap so that those new players can experience the joy I have without the most annoying bugs I've seen to date. But I will continue to play untill the game isn't FUN anymore. Right now I don't see any other games, past, present or any on the current horizon, that are in any way going to change the fact that, for me, SWG is the most fun game on the market. Anyway... it's a great game. If it's your cup of tea you'll really like it. Some folks don't like it though so I guess the old saying is true: Some people will like it Some people won't. If you REALLY want to know whether you'll like it or not? Try it. Decide for yourself.
Bravo Bravo!! Very good entry, I would only say one thing more, What is cooler then bing a Jedi as numer 1 to get things rolling.
