Really? Do you have a steam store link, please?I don't see it on offering, and when searching at games published by Funcom, it's not even there. Maybe it's because my zone, and Steam doesn't offer it to my area?I looked at the Funcom's store and it's 29.99 Euros, ATM.
Edit: you might want to think of buying the massively edtion for 20,39€ instead as it contains the 3 optional issues that you can buy in the game.
As I expected, here's what I got

But thank you again, noneless!
Ah. I'm guessing TCO assumed you were in the Eurozone, forgetting that Funcom for reasons best known to their accountants bills almost everyone not in the US or UK in Euros.
I did assume that because leeux said, I quote: "I looked at the Funcom's store and it's 29.99 Euros, ATM." And yup that's true.
Its funny how nobody talked about or cared about TSW a couple weeks ago is it not. Take away the Lovecraft and the quality story telling in TSW and you are left with a very very small coorpg.
rpg/mmorg history: Dun Darach>Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW > oblivion > LOTR > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(1000 elementalist), Wildstar
I'm trying not to laugh at all the folks discussing why they can't believe one game is winning over another. Apparently, many of you have no idea how this poll works.
Obviously, this isn't a poll about what is the better game. None of the contestants that made it into the Final Four could be construed as the best game on the market. But you guys are wrong in your assumption that the poll is a popularity contest, too. It's not. It's a hate contest. Which game is hated more? I would bet you dollars to doughnuts that a majority of the people voting in these polls are voting AGAINST games, rather than FOR games. Aside from whatever dog they have in the race, the rest of the matchups are probably decided on which games they hate the most, and don't want to succeed.
It's what makes MMO players so..."special." They are ruled more by hate and negativity than bliss and contentment. If this was truly a "popularity" contest, WoW would be killing everybody. But the fact that WoW was eliminated by LOTRO shows that it has more people that despise/hate the game than love LOTRO.
I think LOTRO ends up winning this for one reason: It's a fairly innocuous game that has disappointed the fewest people. It has its community, and those that aren't part of it don't really despise the game like those that don't play WoW. In fact, I think the same could probably be said for TSW. So it's no surprise that both of those games may be in the Finals.

I disagree with you, both ESO and LOTRO are top of the line for those players that like good stories and interesting lore and a world thats build around that....
And i think thats by far the majorrity of people playing MMO´s, people that love stories, hench why TSW is still alive in these polls, and why SWTOR is doing so good... and what made WoW a huge success in the first place....
Story, lore and their interaction with the game are the most important

You still have one MMORPG with an amazing questing but yes if you take away the strongest thing of a specific MMO (e.g. story in TSW) it is not as good as it actually is.
I've never played TSW, never seen it, never even heard about it till I came here. I wouldn't have known it existed. That could be Funcom's fault for lack of advertising, I don't know, but I don't have much to say about it.
The Secret World is a strange MMO beast. And I have to agree that it could do with some more advertising so more people become aware of it. Unlike ESO, which has a major brand pushing it, TSW struggles uphill alone. As a selfproclaimed TSW fanboy and lifetime subscriber (as the game is Buy to Play now that thing is kinda odd, check out the GrandMaster Pack for more info on how that works) I am 100% biased and encourage everyone to try the game.
ESO builds on a rich and well established fictonal world that has been expanded and built upon since 1994. TSW is based in the real world and its lore is based on the actual lore of the actual world we live in. In this years Christmas event for instance we play a storyline based around the real world occurances tied to Mozart and St. Nicolas. Last year we were gifted with a seasonal event that revolved around the "anti-santa" Krampus and his mother, Hel. And during the first year, in 2012, we of course had a seasonal event that revolved around the 2012 Mayan end of time conspiracies. All of these various events are currently active. Because the way events works in TSW is that each year the event for the previous year is repeated and a new storyline or something is added onto it.
We'd love for you to try TSW and decide for yourself if you like the game or not.
If we can be of any assistance you can always find some helpfull oldtimer in the Newcomers section of our forums. Ingame we of the community have created several playerrun global chat channels for various topics (roleplayers have their channels, pvpers have theirs, etc, everyone is welcome in any channel ofc). Feel free to join the #sanctuary channel for some friendly banter and no holes barred carebearism. And if you want to hop into the event nonsense we have the recurring channel #event to facilitate organization of that.
See you ingame

Yeah, because this game was not the highest rated MMO on this website for about 2 years...

I haven't played TSW, but I decided to go ahead and look at some youtube videos. Which isn't a whole lot to base a game off of. But if something gives a crappy WoW feel, I usually can tell within a couple minutes.
Love ESO because the PVP is something no other MMO has. Real battles. Not GW2 battles of a million skill bars. But battles where you can dodge and feel more engaged. Then again a lot of people like the million skill bars thing (which to me me makes pvp feel more like calculated pve). I just think elder scrolls online gets me more engaged into the battles. Especially those sieges of 30 vs 100 then another alliance comes in making it 30 vs 100 vs 150.
For those saying quests are boring, ESO was the only MMO to have got me to the top levels. After trying out many many previous MMOs. Once again, large scale PVP that kept me engaged was that reason. Devs have more then taken care of glitches. The game is way above a lot of games.
Anywho.
TSW PVP-
ESO PVP-
[in terms of variety of bosses, I give this to definitely TSW though. However, still hate the interface and the hit detection in TSW.]
If TESO losses to fail hard TSW I swear to god I'm going to flip my desk all the way to North Korea and start a war bc it will smack Kim Yoo Jung right in the face.

Why do people feel the need to insult other games. TSW is one of the best games I have ever played, seriously.

ESO is a game that gets a lot of hate just because of the name. On one hand you have the people that wanted it to be Skyrim Online (lol) and on the other hand there is the "it's just another money milking machine like SWTOR" crowd. This basically creates a huge circlejerk against the game and gives the impression to the people that haven't really played it that the game sucks.
The truth though, is that when you actually compare ESO to other MMOs, it's just on another level in terms of raw quality. The scale of the zones, the exploration sense it gives, the combat system, the freedom of choice in terms of building your character the way you want, the big scale PvP, the fact that every single NPC in the game is voice acted, questing not being just a "Kill 10 rats" thing, developers that communicate with the community and take feedback seriously, etc. Also the thing that will make this game become huge in the future: Zenimax isn't afraid to add game changing systems to their game. The justice and champion systems will basically make ESO feel like an entirely new game, and that's really a breath of fresh air on an industry where companies like Blizzard keep making 50$ expansions that basically add a couple zones and a few new bosses, but the essence of the game is always the same, they are afraid to innovate.
Now, I've played TSW for a couple months, and it's a GREAT game, but to me it felt more like a single player game in the sense that I only wanted to play it because of the storyline, I didn't care about anything else (most likely because I hated the combat). It's a more niche game for sure (which isn't bad).
My vote goes for ESO but I won't be sad if TSW wins, both are great games. That said I don't understand why LoTR is winning that hard against EvE, to me there is no doubt EvE is the better game.
In my Opinion ESO is better than TSW but that is just an opinion.
So, lets go off facts.
TSW required settings is ESO minimum require settings.
So, by power alone ESO needs a better computer to play on.(fact)
ESO has over 10,000 NPCs and TSW has just over 7,000.(fact)
ESO has over 61 million items in the game and TSW does not state it. I would assume lower but cannot prove.
You have more Character various in ESO than TSW(fact).
In ESO all NPCs has a voice.(fact)
I am sure if got all the specs and how much updates arrive per month. ESO would pull ahead.
So, to say TSW is better is only by opinion because by the numbers it falls short. I am sorry. I have played many MMO's and playing ESO I see a bright future if they stay the course.
Lord of the Rings? I just don't see how it even got so far.

- "In ESO all NPCs has a voice" - Annnnd? All NPCs in TSW also have voice. And *ALL* main missions have a cut scene with voice acting. So what are you comparing here?
In any case, what has this got to do with anything? None of these are related to a game being better or not...

they realy deserve it, as TSW really got a flaw, a clumsy combat system

Eating about 100 bananas is about equivalent to the amount of background radiation you get per day.
If you're eating that many bananas a day though, you have other problems.
