I think all you ESO guys have done is poke the TSW beehive with your accusations. "Pink" Ciritty and "Leech-master" Kemo are two of the strongest, most established players in TSW today, and they have many friends...

Originally posted by Carnicide ESO and TSW? that has to be a joke. I can't believe so many have picked TSW over ESO. Have you played both? I couldn't walk through TSW for literally 3 mins of gameplay in TSW before I shut it off and uninstalled it. I got to veteran rank 14 in ESO
Well ESO is a much easier game, thats for sure..
I for one like a game that requires me to use a few braincells ( go TSW go!)
You obviously haven't run through Sanctum Ophidia on Hardmode.
Just a thought, perhaps (just maybe) it is ok for individuals to like different games (say it isn't so Joe...). Though I enjoy friendly competition most of the time, y'all are getting a bit worked up over tastes in a game.
I love how people have to come up with pathetic rumors because their game isn't winning right now. Goes a long way in showing which of the communities is more mature. Guess where my vote is going?

This is also true. It's not wrong to like your game or to like both. This is turning into a war for no apparent reason right now.

Haha, some petty people that happen to be ESO supports won't rile me up. I'm confident that TSW is going to win even without my help. If there's one thing I am going to do is not accept that everyone that likes ESO over TSW are as sad as the few commenters spreading rumors.
I play both games, enjoy both games, and am glad they both made it this far. That being said, i'll vote TSW as the quality of the quests, writing, acting, lore, etc. are leaps and bounds above ESO.
And yeah, still waiting on that screenshot of the email...
People awaited the two, most popular titles on the list to make it to the finals: GW2 and WoW (I did it too). However, as it seems, the two MMOs with the most dedicated communities are gonna be the finalists this year.
I called it for TSW a few rounds back just because very few people actually hate it... very few play it but no one says bad stuff about it.
ESO, OTOH, is only now not getting trolled hard, but only because people only have so much hate to go around and Archage and Trion are much easier targets

That didn't bother me nearly as much as the fact that for months it was promoted as having 3 faction PVP but it turned out to be all in one small little scenario. If they had developed the PVP as much as they once said they were going to, I'd still be playing.
To me the choices are pretty clear. You like PVP? It's ESO and EVE by a country mile. You hate PVP (and don't mind cash shops ) it's TSW and LOTRO.

False. Everything about TSW is years ahead of ESO.
ESO is another brown and gray, medievil clunker, that no one cares about. TSW is original, DirectX 11, true to the core and vastly unique in a mundane and otherwise dry genre of gaming.
You should play it. ESO was another cash grab that suckered quite a few and is now paying the price.
I should also add that Wildstar is better than ESO on accident, and Wildstar sucks in almost every facet of the word except the combat system, which I might add is enough (alone) to dethrone any game except Tera perhaps.
This generation of young gamers really need to evolve their acceptable levels of "good" and learn to separate "Hype" from "quality" You got schooled.

Don't ESO and Eve both have limited cash shops? Let's not skip the whole truth now!

I feel bad saying it all the time, but it's so true. I am a lifetime subscriber so I still login every now and then. But I haven't played seriously in a long time. Oh well... still a good game despite it's flaws.
As someone else said, TSW has far better voice acting and cut scenes than ESO with probably a third of the budget.

ESO doesn't have a cash shop at all...I don't know about EVE though.
ESO is by far the best TES game I've ever played, also I've never liked Skyrim.
However whole game is more of an RPG than MMO (at the moment), and it's for sure the Best mmoRPG on the market.
To put it against TSW however, ESO is miles ahead, in content, quality of content etc. Don't be silly most of people don't even know what TSW is nor have ever heard of it, they are just voting against the most popular games. Some deserved to be popular (ESO did), others didn't (WoW).
Someone even went ahead to compare voice acting between the two games, seriously don't even start, ESO is the best voice acted game ever created (in MMO genre), with the best quests in an MMO. The only other MMO that can compare with ESO on this is SWTOR, others are so far behind it's not even funny anymore.
I don't know dude. I played ESO for some time, I still play TSW. Opinions, opinions, opinions. If You ask me - the one that is miles ahed is TSW. ESO is nice and everything, but wouldn't say that it deserves to be popular where WoW doesn't. That's wishfull or fanboy thinking right there. But it's only my opinion.
About voting and TSW devs sending (*confirmed* - ha ha) mails. I didn't get any. I feel excluded.
Hey - if I write, that tommorow is easter (CONFIRMED!) will it make it easter?
TSW's devs are getting involved in the voting and promoting it (This is confirmed). Isn't this against the MMORPG.com rules? In contests devs aren't allowed to vote in or actively promote their game.
What? There is ONE single thread about it in the whole forum, and 1 DEV made 1 single post. I wonder how many do you have in ESO's forum...
TSW devs (confirmed) are sending emails to their "playerbase", to vote for them in this contest. What a joke.
Utter horsecrap. There was a promotion email for a 30-day trial as part of the Christmas event, and nothing about this competition is mentioned.

You'd have to really expand the definition of "cash shop" to make it qualify... imperial edition upgrade for $20 or $14.99 for just the horse without the other Imp edition goodies and only from a website outside the game... unlike those hard to ignore cash shop buttons sitting prominently on the screen in games that actually do have one, you know?
EVE and ESO are sub games.

While TSW does indeed have a cash shop, the only direct link to it in the game's UI is in the main drop-down menu.
Or can someone show me the cash shop button in this picture (unmodded TSW UI)?
LOTRO on the other hand . . . well, I quit LOTRO shortly after Isengard launched, but at that point there were cash shop buttons on what felt like every single UI element.
As for PvP: yes, TSW and LOTRO are both games where PvP can be safely ignored by players (and where the part of the playerbase that is actually interested in PvP will frequently complain it's being ignored by devs too).

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

LoTRO made it to semi's but not WoW lmao.Ironic since LoTRO is just a bad WoW clone.
Pretty sure gamers as a whole are going to facepalm when TSW wins since we all know deep down it has no place anywhere near the top of MMO gaming.
years ago eve did do this and asked its fans to come here and vote and eve won.
so if any other company doing it its not new.
be nice to see TSW and LOTRO win though

TSW Dev's are NOT sending emails out or offering rewards. A Community Manager made 1 post about it in the offical forums.

I know we should respect each others opinion and taste, but there is something really wrong with this Faceoff when LOTR is winning the semi ????!!!!
Really, most people don't even know this game. I played it, it's not bad, but it's nothing great. It's a WoW Clone with LOTR pasted on it.
EVE, WoW, Ultimate Online to name some, are so much more respected.
Sure WoW has haters (I didn't play it since vanilla), but it has a huge community, and so many features.
I really don't get how LOTR got there????
Am I missing something?
