Coming back...never should have left

metalfoxusmetalfoxus Member Posts: 805

Coming back to EQ2, was a waste of time to drop it for WoW and MxO. I'll be on Antonia Bale server. Man I never should have left, now I gotta go out and pick up a game card to start up my account again... but the only EB games near me is an hour away ::::16:: Oh well, it'll be worth it ::::20::

I made the same mistake...Oh well we live and learn.

This game is a world apart from the rest of that trash!

I made the mistake of underestimating this game. Glad I finally came to my sensess. Other games suck.

You guys don't make any sense, unless this is how you interact with everything in your life, a short attention span and constantly looking for something better.

If EQ2 was such a great game, why did you leave in the first place?

I'll probobly be playing a High Elf chick like before. With a pair of bewbs in any MMO I can score about 1000% more money and items than I could with a guy character.

  • rathmarathma Member UncommonPosts: 3,786

Wood Elves are better for that. Mine raked in so much money....

I play a guy now though, I have to work for my gold ::::21::.

I don't agree that playing WoW was a complete waste of time because I had fun with it, and probably will continue to have fun since I'm keeping my account active (for now anyway). I can't say I regret my decision to leave EQ2 because I think the game started off pretty bad, though I am sorry that I missed a lot of the cool stuff that's been happening (would have liked to have been there for Frogloks being released). I do admit that I am getting some WoW burn out and I'm on the lookout for something new. Guildwars flopped like a ton of fertalizer for me, so on to try something new. Everyone's saying that EQ2 has got really good lately though, so I'll go back on my word and give it another shot.

Well I'm glad people are comming back because I just started playing so looks like I'll have people to play with. But I can't believe that people have already left this game and its still kind of new. I think those people who have left too early didn't give this game a chance.  I'm thinking some of you left it because it didn't have any pvp and now you'er comming back because the new expansion allows pvp. Or maybe you came back because it has lots more content now since launch.

Another thing I think EQ2 will have a problem is getting original EQ1 players to subscribe. Most of my friends who've played EQ1 with me for years say they won't play another EQ game or even a sony game. They have thier different reasons for not playing it though. Allthough they shouldn't worry about subscribers if they're going to get a bunch of bored WoW playing thier game. The community so far has been pretty mature. I however am enjoying EQ2, only thing I dread is when SoE changes the game enough to force us to upgrade our PC's. It says so on there site though, "System requierments may change as game progresses"

I don't think there's anything wrong with leaving for whatever time you need, it's a great way to find out what's out there and it's never bad to take a break to become re-interested in a game. EQ2, imho, still lacks much depth to really suck players into the world, but right it's the lesser of all evils when comparing to whats currently out there.

It's also nice that they really are trying to make it overall a better experience for everyone. Those are the reasons I've stayed this far and why'll i'll keep staying in hopes it turns out well.

Cracks me up how they added content just like WOW has in order to sucker former players into coming back.

All mmorpg's add content as the game progresses.....nothing innovative on WoW's part.

I'm coming back shortly. Only reason I left in the first place is cause I had no cash to pay the monthly fee. Now that I'm all caught up, I'm comin back...and getting Station Access so I can continue with SWG as well.

I dont understand yourm post. Either you believe that if any mmorpg adds content is "just like wow" or your statement is a troll statement.

Please h elp us understand what you mean by your statement. I thought it was normal for mmorpgs to add content.

I don't understand how the content is just like WoW's. I play Eq2 and it's nothing like WoW. Swiftflow smells like a troll to me. Broad statements with no info to back it up.

It's normal for failing games to copy successful games, but a copy is never as good as the original.

Again, another general post with no information to back it up. Way to prove our point for us. Thanks.

Oh yeah, since adding new content to games is soooooo cliche.

I started to play slightly after realese, it was my first MMO and i had a good time for a few months. But things started to get less and less fun for me as the months went by so i cancelled my sub. A few months ago i decided to give it another shot, as i was still reading these forums and everyone seemed to be saying great things about the game. I knew that a lot had been done to the game when i had to wait for over an hour for all the new content patches to finish loading before i could restart.

I have to say that i'm glad that i came back, i can't put my finger on whats changed exactly, the game just feels more fun now than it did before. People flame Sony for their bad customer service, adn this may well be deserved in the eyes of the flamers, however i have been lucky enough to never been in the postion of having to contact a CSR. All i see is a game that appears to be gettting better by the month with massive patches and content updates being the norm as opposed to being a rare occurance.

For those who don't like the game fair enough, i can see that it's not everyones cup of tea. But please don't critisise or try to belittle those who are having a good time. Your won't change the opinions of anyone on these boards, and come across in a less than positive light.

YEP! Just like WoW copied half of EQ1 and half of DAoC and then just made it easier! And boy is Blizzard failing so horribly right now. I am sure they still can't work out where they are gonna put all that money.
