I enjoyed it for what it was, but I didnt care for the grouping portions, it didnt seem to work well.  I just wanted to play through the game and see the content, but that didnt feel like it was worth a sub.

Since I already own the game I can come back and then play through the game at my leisure now.

    Hopefully the grouping systems improve.

For ESO to get me back..what are they going to do to lure those who left a while ago?  I can tell you now it's certainly not going to be the cash shop.

For me it's not that ESO sucked so much, although it did have a lot of issues.  It just wasn't worth the sub fee.  Since I've already paid for it I will return when the sub fee drops.  I will have a different goal this time however.  Last time I was leveling up as fast as possible to get to max level to keep up with my son and go out and PvP, it was his first MMO.  This time I will play a different alliance and take it slow and just play the PvE part of the game.

Oh and this time I will avoid the Nightblade like the plague.  A lot of fun but too much frustration.

They're not trying to get you back...  they're trying to get all those other people who never bought the game because there was a subscription associated with it.  A lot of folks passed on ESO because they felt it wasn't worthy of a sub.  They just might be willing to buy the game if they know they can come and go as they please.  They will get more than a few bites, that's a certainty.

Ok, Ill accept that.  I thought maybe they were also going to do something new to entice the other folks back.  I get the new customer grab buy goin B2P over the sub.  Good business and cash influx.  I was just hoping something would catch my eye to return but I guess its the same old same old.

They are implementing the first part of the Justice System, adding new character animations for smoother combat and interaction. Over the last 6 months the game has already greatly improved.... part of the reason they took so many of the choice awards on this site alone. Not sure what else you are looking for....

Link to update 6 information. This will be out in Feb. and is in PTS right now.

I like ESO, my only real gripe is the UI.

If you didn't like the game for whatever reason and never bought it, they're not targeting you...

If you played it and left (quietly or loudly) for whatever reason, they're still not targeting you...

If you've been waiting for the console version, you're their target.

The PC change to B2P is just a byproduct of their decision to launch to their target console audience as B2P.

So... play the PC version or not. No one really cares if you do.

That's almost me word for word except that my son is only 3 so he isn't able to play MMOs yet. When it officially launches B2P I will dabble with it for some PVE every couple of days or so, but I won't waste my time with it's PVP.  I can get a better experience with GW2.  Specially when the expac launches image

If you bought the game once, why wouldn't you log in to see for yourself if it's worth playing now?

It's on my list of games to check out from time to time.  For me it is F2P cause I already have the game and anytime I play it I won't have to spend any money.

DLC will be their new P2P for none subscribers.

Pretty much this. Most of my friends won't pkay ESO because of the sub but if they only have to pay for it once and potentially expansions or dlcs. I personally am going to go back finish levelling my character. Even if I spend 5 hours a mont that's fine. But with a sub I can't do that.

I have no problem with that . I do it with single player games all the time .

Where is your problem in paying for something that is already developed ? I bet you are more than happy to pay a monthly fee for games where you are funding things in advance that are in development .

Its a bit like paying for the studio time for a band you lae interested in the hope you will like the album they produce .

You already bought it, they don't need to "get you back".
